  1. Take in mind that such a mountain would be quite large and it would take an awful long time to drive up such a mountain with a rover but still, driving into space sounds awesome

    I've seen a couple of videos on this and it looks nice but I can't help but hum that particular A-Ha song whenever I see the name of this game...
  3. So, today I read somewhere that "Olympus Mons is so tall that it essentially sticks up out of Mars’s atmosphere." The first thing I thought was that it would be awesome if there was a planet in KSP, with an atmosphere that has a mountain that sticks out of it. It would make a cool spot to land, wouldn't it?
  4. Both these suggestions would make the game a lot more accesible as well. Ive seen a few friends try KSP but bail on it because they couldn't really get used to the editor
  5. Exactly, I'd like resources and life support as well but those things can wait, tweakables would make building so much better
  6. You all raise very good points, I guess careermode isn't so bad after all I still hope tweakables come sort of soon-ish though...
  7. Ok, I get that but the effort they are not putting into the mechanics now, will have to be put in eventually, so there's no benefit, right?
  8. I was wondering: Why are the devs focussing on careermode now? Wouldn't it make more sense to implement things like tweakables first and get all the mechanics (resources, re-entry damage etc) in order and improve the editor (sub-symmetry, multiple parents for parts etc) in order to make the core aspects of the game function before they start making the career? I'm not saying that's what they should do, I'm just wondering wether or not that would make more sense. What do you guys think?
  9. Maybe you can add some screenshots and descriptions. I get what the ÃŽâ€v Calculator is for, but it would be nice to see some description, list of features and a couple of screenshots to see what the program looks like and what it's capable of doing...

  17. I'm familiar with things like Newtons law from my physics class in High school but seeing as that's been a while, starting from scratch to refresh my memory would probably be the smartest thing to do.

I've been watching a lot of videos lately by people like Scott Manley and what I've noticed is that those people know their fair share of rocket science (Both the physics aspect of it, as well as what's going on in current day space technology) and I was wondering, since KSP has really sparked my enthousiasm for anything space related, what would be a good way to expand my knowledge on this subject. Which books should I read, which websites should I follow, which documentaries should I watch, which kinds of theory should I study to broaden my knowledge on the subject? I understand most of the instructions that tutorial videos give me but a lot of the time, I can't help but wonder "Yes, but why?"

  20. I might be doing something wrong but I can't get a Kerbal out of the 'S2 Crew Tank 2M' after boarding it. Also I can't seem to attach anything to the points in the cargo bays
