  1. You need the upgraded tracking station and *possibly* the upgraded contracts building. I've never tried without both upgraded, so not sure if that'd work.
  2. Anyone have word on compatibility with .23?
  3. What I tend to do is start the burn so that about half completes before you've reached the node marked, and keep things on target that way. Theoretically, if you burn perfectly toward the maneuver node marker and get the exact change in ÃŽâ€v that it tells you to, your new course will perfectly match the one the maneuver showed.
  4. 10/10 because I don't want karma biting me in the a**.
  5. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Apollo_1 A cabin fire during a launch pad test on January 27 at Launch Pad 34 at Cape Canaveral killed all three crew membersâ€â€Command Pilot Virgil I. "Gus" Grissom, Senior Pilot Edward H. White II and Pilot Roger B. Chaffeeâ€â€and destroyed the Command Module (CM) Interesting choice of words, there.
  6. Has anyone made KAS available on the tech tree? Currently it's a question of awesome winches n' such, or being able to perform important science for all kerbalkind. I realize that it's possible to edit configs, but I tend to break things more often than not when going down that route.
  7. Turn off the SAS on the spacecraft you're trying to dock. The ASAS functionality will just fight the magnetic function, and make things bounce around uselessly.
  8. So surprised that this hasn't been made before now. I didn't realize how much I was missing these lights until I flew with them installed.
  9. Yea, now we get smaller, less frequent updates.
  10. I'm creating a derivative of Godwin's law that states, 'The longer a thread on the internet continues, the probability of someone mentioning CoD in a derisive manner approaches 1.'
  11. Welcome! After reading your post, I think it'd be a neat idea for squad to implement procedural solar systems at some point, so no two games are the same. Now that's probably quite a feat from a technical standpoint, but it'd make it easier on those who want to figure out what they need to know themselves, rather than from a stock set of wiki-tips.
  12. And yet you claim it's NOT technology.
  13. I love the models, and especially the 'SPAAAAAAACE'bar but I'm curious whether these are just seperate models, or if they differ in any way to the stock ASAS mechanics.
  14. There are many threads in the tutorial section that go into this in detail, the one that helped me the most was http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/24670-Tutorial-Orbital-rendezvous-You-can-do-them! The biggest thing to remember is that spacecraft further from a planet are traveling slower, and thus you'd want to raise your orbit so that the station can catch you. Maneuver nodes are incredibly helpful for this, play around with one and keep an eye on how various manipulations affect the target indicators.
  15. Nice, I love the ability to customize the canopies.
  16. Looks like someone missed the 2nd post, chock full of a list of parts as well as links to the gallery of said parts.
  17. Favorite post in the thread. You kicked that modder's ass with your awesome forum-lawyering! /sarc
  18. Correct me if I'm wrong, but isn't that how the ships in Mass Effect worked? Turn about halfway through the trip and decelerate the rest of the way? It wasn't really in any cutscenes, but I'm fairly sure it was buried in the lore somewhere deep.
  19. 'Tis sad that I lost my account, didn't have a high post count but at least I'd become a bottle rocketeer!
