  1. Clue #1 The starting letters are definately important but be careful not to overthink it.
  2. Here's a simple filler riddle for now. "Even Jeb does despise Kerbin's empty mainland." Enjoy!
  3. I'm not the OP but that is good to know, I just thought my computer was getting processor damage from playing ksp on it :/ Fortunately the mac isn't my primary computer. Get a mac they said, Mac is so much better than pc they said... My 5 yr old gaming pc will do circles around my imac that is only 2 years old. Any news on a fix then?
  4. Hype has some strange properties. Such as being 2 dimensional until it reaches critical mass at which point it momentarily becomes 3 dimensional.
  5. I have never bothered with transfer windows either for the same reason. I just burn until i'm barely on an escape trajectory out of Kerbin (in the appropriate direction for inner or outer planets) and then when im out of Kerbin's SOI i set up my maneuver node at the place i can get it lined up and then tweak it to lower the Delta V to optimum. This of course means my kerbals have to be in cryostasis for the duration of the very long trip which is often in a Mk-1 pod.
  6. I think you should set your Jool project aside and go to 1.0. Then if down the line you feel like finishing it then do it, otherwise it probably wasnt that important to you anyway so move on. Even with just 0.9 and 1.0 you are missing out on a lot.
  7. My top 3 1. Aerodynamic updates 2. New IVAs, Esp MK 1 inline that seemed like they all but forgot about. 3. Fairings
  8. Yes I noticed that as well. Myself I generally stick to one or two mods at a time because of how much they slow loading down and how much they clutter my inventory.
  9. This was clearly more difficult than I expected it to be, so iFail. But as you can see, there was absolutely nothing about this encryption that couldn't be reasoned out simply by looking at it. Best, -Slashy Well I think it was as someone else pointed out too many steps without any indication of whether you were on the right track. That being said for a forum puzzle that was not intended to be solved in 10 minutes by half of the forumgoers it was a fair challenge and I applaud and thank you for the effort and the fun.
  10. Spaceplanes that make it to orbit, spaceplanes that can re-enter without tumbling to death, spaceplanes that make it to orbit with a payload or enough fuel to do anything, and docking without using up all my rcs or accidentally activating my main engine. All of the are issues I still struggle with.
  11. Also thanks to anyone involved in FASA, my personal favorite mod.
  12. Another thing to keep in mind here is that spaceplanes in the game are easy compared to real life. Just look how many orbit capable SSTO spaceplanes there are IRL. Nope not one as of yet. Of course they are working on it and have several concepts but none have come to fruition yet.
  13. Just Speculating, but it looks like the engines on that one are too high putting the center of thrust out of line with the center of mass. The result likely being that your engines are pushing down hard on the nose making takeoff and level flight impossible. Of course I cant tell with the mods you are using if those may just be intakes, but even then the structures up high may cause your com to be out of line with cot. Also dont feel bad about your spaceplane attemps. I have only ever gotten a few designs into lko and every time they were running on fumes at the point of achieving a stable orbit, so pretty much useless except for perhaps space tourism.
  14. I guess that depends on what you consider spaceplane parts.
  15. This. If it comes down to priorities, the development must be first. Thanks for the hard work with on the riddles and on the development.
  16. I know I'm reusing this from my 0.90 post but here we go I'd Like to raise a glass And say To the Mun!
  17. Assuming that the distance between them is 2,800,000 m and that a Modular Girder Segment XL is 3m it would seem to require 933,333.3... Modular Girder Segment XLs end to end just to span that gap, talk about high part count . Hmm I think i know how to defeat that evil AI system (Skynet, HAL, GLADOS Etc...) that is coming to take over the world.
  18. While I agree that it would be best if the information was also available in a "just the facts" type video, I think some of you are a tad judgmental of maxmaps. When it comes to a video game there is only one determining factor if you are doing it right and that is whether or not you are having fun. I for one thank maxmaps for doing the streams and giving us the information.
  19. When was this bug introduced? I have noticed for quite a while that I have been having problems with radial decouplers but I do seem to remember the working better maybe 2 or 3 patches ago.
  20. I will add that you are not alone on Twitch troubles. When I was still at college I had great internet, but twitch wouldn't livestream at all, though it would play prerecorded stuff assuming the streamer was nice enough to leave it archived. Now I'm at home and it works fine. One thing I think may cause issues (especially in my case under a college network) is blocked ports and firewalls, twitch just doesn't seem to handle these well whereas youtube was fine.
  21. Wasn't there one more clue the day before that. A flying lunar pod with several radial mounted engines, one missing.
  22. Well I wouldn't have called it arguing so much as questioning, but nevertheless your post answered a lot of the questions that were going through my head.
  23. What i'm wondering is are these "clues*" supposedly leading to some big clue(s) about 1.0, or is it a countdown of days to launch, or is it just a countdown with an unrelated puzzle each day that just happens to coincide with the countdown. *Clues refers to for example Venera 9, Venus, Apollo, etc... perhaps somehow having something to do with a new feature or something.
