  1. Interesting format for a mission report. I like the press releases and the concise style of the outline reports -- it invites the reader to fill in the details from their own imagination. Hoping to see more!
  2. I'm afraid not. ElectricCharge is treated like any other resource; once it's been drained, it's gone unless something (like a solar panel, RTG, or certain types of active engines) is available to replenish it.
  3. Moving this over to General Add-On Affairs I'm pretty much going to second MKS/OKS (which is also by RoverDude like Karbonite) and everything on jarmund's list (except Action Groups Extended, but only because I've never used it). Life support, reentry heat, and better aerodynamics all both make for a more realistic experience while providing interesting new challenges to overcome.
  4. Welcome to the forums! Glad to hear that you've been enjoying the game. Feel free to share your accomplishments, show off your creations, ask questions (or answer other people's, if you know the answer), and just generally make yourself at home.
  5. Welcome (back) to the forums!
  6. Given how the last update to this mod was over a year ago and the last discussion of it is pretty dated itself, I think it's safe to say that this mod is no longer being actively developed. Therefore, we'll be closing this thread, unless DYJ lets us know he's ready to resume development. Have a nice day
  7. Count me in the "Cannot build an airplane / spaceplane if my life depended on it" camp. I can generally fly some of the prebuilt ones just fine, and occasionally I actually manage to land them in one piece, but all of the ones I've ever tried to build from scratch have ended up crashing and burning.
  8. Welcome to the forums! Glad to have you with us.
  9. The HypeTrain keeps its own schedule, but we'll certainly let you know when it's approaching the station
  10. Welcome to the forums! I'll be moving this to Suggestions and Development, since that's where this sort of discussion is typically supposed to go. Normally, Life Support suggestions aren't encouraged here, since they've been suggested and rehashed so much in the past that we've put them on our official What Not To Suggest list to clear the air for other topics. Nevertheless, as this particular suggestion has merit for other areas of gameplay than what is typically understood as "life support" on these forums (i.e. the resource-management aspect of having limited supplies to keep an astronaut alive during a long flight), we'll let this one stay open. Also, while I know it's not a part of the stock game, you may be interested to know that the Deadly Reentry add-on does incorporate G-force damage that affects both your astronauts and craft parts.

    Hello!

Welcome to the forums! Glad to hear you've been enjoying the game. Since you've mentioned you enjoy building some rather unique contraptions, you might find some kindred spirits by showing off your crafts in the Spacecraft Exchange, or sharing your videos of them in action over in the Live from Mission Control subsection of Fan Works.
  12. Welcome to the forums! I know, I know, but better late than never... Glad to hear you've been enjoying your time here. Hope to see you stick around and contribute your own measure of awesomeness to the community!
  13. Sad to see you go, Starwhip. Best of luck with your future endeavors!
  14. Sorry, you'll have to settle for me this time AmpsterMan! I choose you!
  15. Woop woop! Let's keep the Mod Train going with goldenpeach!
  16. Just letting y'all know I've dropped this in General Add-On Affairs, since that's where discussion of general mod-related content is supposed to go. Carry on; it certainly seems like an intriguing idea
  17. I remember seeing that name a few times in the past myself. It's certainly quite unique and eye-catching.
  18. Moving to General Add-on Affairs, as that's the appropriate subforum for mod requests (Also tweaked the title to be a bit more specific, since if we had tons of threads labeled just things like "Mod Request," things would get just a little confusing.) I'm not sure if this is exactly what you're asking for, but Infernal Robotics seems to be the go-to mod for making anything with lots of complex moving parts.
  19. A fair point. It's not a problem exclusive to KSP*, but it's one I can personally definitely recognize and sympathize with. * Standard Disclaimer: TV Tropes May Ruin Your Life.
  20. The official site should give you a good idea (particularly the features list), but to summarize, it's basically a version of KSP that incorporates special features intended to help educators use the game in a classroom setting as a teaching tool.
  21. Interesting historical note: In the real world, the world's first liquid-fuel rocket was launched from Robert Goddard's aunt's farm. It very well might actually have been assembled in a barn, or at least stored in one for a while. I'll admit it's a bit of a left-field choice, but it might be more apropos than some might think
  22. First, welcome to the forums! Looks like you're having some problems adding images to your post. Might I recommend you upload them to an image-hosting service first, then linking to them from there? My personal choice (and that of many other users here) is IMGUR, but there are other options out there as well. Hope this helps!
  23. EDIT: Nevermind, just me being silly. Don't let the autopilot debate overtake the thread, though.
