Can you tell what alcohol content the sake has? I can see 60%, but that seems too high for a wine...

I was pretty sure that the gold was safe to drink, since it being a very inert element. I wasn't quite sure if there wasn't some sort of straining ceremony attached to the gold leaf drinking... I just some random looking up sake stores, and this one comes closest in color to my bottle...

Hello Everyone. Today I have received a very peculiar gift. I finished a work for a very good client of mine, and as a gesture of good will, he gave me a bottle of sake. This is in UK, and he got the bottle from his daughter who lives in Japan. I have gladly accepted the gift, but when I got home and had a good look at the bottle, I have realized that It had golden flakes floating in the sake!!. So now I want to really know more about this bottle before I drain it down. Can someone who can read japanese give me some more info on what I actually have? Is it safe to drink the gold? Is there some special way I should enjoy this drink? Thank you for any info you can give me. Here is a picture.

Terminal velocity equation
Torham234 replied to kragon's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I usually do it this way as well. Decoupling the last stage engines before reentry seems like a waste of money for me, so I just keep the last stage in one piece. This makes it usually too heavy to just land on parachutes, so I keep a tiny bit of fuel in the tanks. Immediately before touch down ( 10 - 15 m above ground) I fire up the engine a slow down enough to safely land. landing legs are nice, but they weigh quite a bit, so that would defeat the OP aim of minimal weight reentry vehicle. -
I have reverted to 1.6.2 because of the button spam. Other than that, thank you for a cool mod.

Pretty much this. I think that would be my pet peeve - annoying, yet fairly insignificant and harmless.

Devnote Tuesdays: The "Hype Train's Back in the Station" Edition
Torham234 replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Very much enjoying 0.24. Thank you. -
you are all wrong, they are in fact called Roots. Even the symbol is a root square, and it makes sense that green plant species like kerbals would trade in roots... As for the spending, I usually blow it on large manned missions with lots of instruments and science gathering.

these new highly sophisticated, budget-friendly landing gears
Torham234 replied to Franklin's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Priceless. -
As many other people, I have found the right click and staging bug too annoying, so I have reverted to 32 bit for now. I only use a selected few mods anyway, so I do not need extra RAM. That said, I think I had a minor fps improvement in 64 bit version, and I think it only crashed once on me. PS: yes, I have noticed the unresponsive chrome as well, now that you mention it...

Does this still work in KSP 32 bit?

A way to make contracts much better
Torham234 replied to Luis's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
My thoughts: part testing: As you say, the test windows are usually too narrow/weird to actually bother with them. I would say that these should be reserved to only two scenarios: as ground testing - clamped down at the launchpad, and vacuum testing - in orbit. They could for example return mainly science points, and not be as profitable as other contracts, especially when testing experimental engines. It would make for a way to generate a little bit of science in exchange for funds. Rescue: Either scrap it completely or make the game select only kerbals in EVA on my missions ( which would still be none). I have pretty much ignored this one completely, since it is quite silly to have a solitary kerbal in orbit for no reason. I would prefer a satellite deployment instead of this one, where you have to deploy a robot core + solar panels + random scientific instrument into a orbit X, Y. It could be the most profitable contract to run. Data collection: This one sort of makes sense. Even for the repeat observations, these could be different companies buying scientific data about the stellar body. Low payoff , some science data. Flag planting: Pure prestige. At the moment its very easy to leave a kerbal permanently on the Mun to plant a forest of flags for a ton of cash. To combat this I would award mainly prestige for this type of contract. There is only so much of it you would want, so it would discourage grinding the contract for funds. final point: Yes, what you said. I have read maybe 2-3 of them, and now I just utterly ignore them, and look instead at the short description of what is required. -
Is perfectionism driving you crazy in 0.24?
Torham234 replied to allmhuran's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Not really. Money is there to be spent, just like its a weird idea to hoard science points. There is enough lucrative contracts out there so that you do not have to be perfectionist. I have been playing a conservative and efficient game from the very beginning of KSP, so I just continue playing as I was playing before. Its actually very easy to earn Roots. This Eve Mission vehicle (EME) (land on Gilly, unmanned probe to land on Eve) cost a grand total of 110,799 Roots to put into orbit. I have just accepted a single contract to test a mainsail engine in orbit for 336,995 + 72,123 advance. -
You don't even have to really be penny pinching with the funds. I have been steadily going through the research tree and the contracts. I only take the more sensible/profitable ones and I still have extra 2 million (!!) on my account. So far I have only done stuff around kerbin system, so I am going to blow some of this extra cash on a manned return mission to the Eve System.

Stupid things you've made to do missions in career mode
Torham234 replied to lukerules117's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I am saving up most of those "Test in flight at altitude X" for when I can build planes. Some of the parts have crazy test windows that are very difficult to hit with just rocketry parts. You end up just wasting money. -
Stupid things you've made to do missions in career mode
Torham234 replied to lukerules117's topic in KSP1 Discussion
I love how from time to time I just need to test an engine on the launchpad. Something like that would never happen without the career contracts. In sandbox, there is absolutely no reason to do this: -
probably server overload than . In 10 minutes my download finishes, than You can have my bandwith
-
downloading now from the KSp store page. Re-logging worked for me.
-
nah, sit back and remember that KSP is still in heavy development. it will be years before the final product. You can afford to wait extra 1- 5 hours for a update...
-
I had nothing but positive experience with steam, and I have around 40 games on it. Still, I will rather keep my independent KSP, If I have a choice. One less app to run on the background...

Thats why I am trying to download a fresh 64 bit copy, just to make sure
