  2. I was around during that time, but I feel like it makes sense to contribute for the progression of the game. Just from a cost perspective, KSP has given me countless hours of enjoyment for less than an a penny per hour. Isn't it worth paying for?
  3. Yeah, seems a little over-hyped to say "big announcement next Thursday" and have it just be a "guess what guys, water is wet" announcement.
  4. Yeah, those work-arounds are OK, but the root of the problem is we need part sizes that are practical -- if only they would implement tweakscale into stock

I learned the excruciatingly painful way that the 1.25m heatshield is not large enough for the RC-001S command pod - it is about 10 cm too large and your probe explodes on re-entry from the heat. This model for the RC-001S needs to be scaled down so it is LESS than 1.25m. This problem actually exists for most of the heatshields where they are the EXACT size of most of the objects they were designed-for, making them almost useless unless you want to always use the next-largest size (which is ridiculous).
  6. I feel the same way - they have been dropping hints at what is beyond the localization project -- something awesome -- starting more than 4 weeks ago and we still haven't been given any information it.

  9. Well, I look forward to seeing what you all have up your sleeve because KSP has been my favorite game for more than 3 years!
  10. I think we're feeling the burn from having lost pretty much all of the veteran members from the KSP team. I set my expectations to rock-bottom for KSP to ever get any real/meaningful update in the future Multiplayer? Skybox? Clouds? Part revamps? I will be surprised if we ever see these things.
  11. I work for a software company so my experience is that you have a feature roadmap and 3 - 6 months out, you know what you're going to build - you just don't have an exact date pinned on it. This community has never been harsh or unreasonable at timelines - I am simply asking to see a plan or goal for the game other than [null reference]. If you don't have that plan or communicate it to your customers, you aren't going to have a company for very long.
  12. While I do appreciate the update of information, I think it is critical for Squad to provide details of what is coming for the next release. Given all of the staffing changes, the future of KSP is unknown to the community and interest in the game seems to have diminished quite a bit (the forums and reddit have the lowest activity I've seen since 0.20).
  13. PC gaming master race would like to offer some advice right now: play the game on a PC Do you have any idea how many games are developed on consoles and get ported to PC and are absolute crap? It's your turn I guess.
  14. I nuke all of my saves every major update -- starting over is most of the fun for me.
  15. Given everything that has transpired in the past couple of weeks, I hope that Squad is able to provide some specifics as to the future development plans for KSP. Given the current size of the development team for the game, it is hard to imagine any meaningful progress being made in terms of future development for at least the next 6 - 9 months.
  16. They were released as a mod so modders could get a head-start/see examples how to use the new part-upgrade system.

  18. It is fair to say that everyone's experience at a given employer can be very different - I enjoy my job but many people have quit there claiming it was the worst place they have ever been. *shrug* That being said, there's a reason eight people all left and it raises a lot of questions.

  21. Oh yeah, Career mode. And yes, I meant encounter ... I am confused though because this is information that used to display ... then in 1.1 it no longer shows them for planetary encounters even with a max-out tracking station.
  22. So, I am not sure if this is a bug or a design choice, but in 1.1 (the previous release), when you have a planetary intercept, it will no longer display the ascending or descending nodes. For example, setup a close approach to Duna where either the ascending/descending node appears at some point before the intercept. Now adjust your orbit to intercept ... the nodes for ascending/descending will disappear. Is this a bug or a design choice? I hope it is a bug because that would seem like a silly design choice
  23. So can anyone explain the status of the revamped rocket parts? The pre-release version doesn't include them so I am confused as to when those will be available in the game. Help?
  24. Does this mean the parts will be included in the final release for 1.2? "It's far from finished" leads me to believe it will not.
