  1. Hi! I'm getting back into KSP after a long break, and now I'm trying to learn some of the new stuff in KSPTOT. I tried to follow the LVD guide, but I need a break from that as I'm doing something wrong somewhere. I figured it might be better to do a very simple test as follows. Minimum rocket to get to orbit, one stage, put that into LVD and try to get to orbit. It's getting close, but I'm confused with the objectives and constraints. So finally, we arrive at my question. Do any of you have a KSPTOT LVD savefile you can share that does this, including optimization constraints? That way I can have a look at a working example. Something that launches and gets to a 100km orbit, 90 hdg, 0 inc. Thank you Arrowstar for a fantastic tool!
  2. Hi! I've been searching around trying to figure out the status of Autom8. I saw another request on this thread back in april, but it didn't seem like it was answered. So here goes.. Is Autom8 on its way back any time soon? Either way, thanks for great work with MechJeb! I couldn't do without!
  3. Nice trick! I guess I'll have to learn how to make plugins when I'm done with my "Mission datacard" project. Excellent tip! BTW I'll attach an image of my project. The idea is to plan a mission using an excel file so I know what to build, then put the requred delta V into it, print it, and track my progress compared to the calculations. It has become a huge file with lots of calculations. Next to the "datacard" are several preformatted areas ready to be copied and pasted to build your mission from different "events"(liftoff, escape, transfer etc.). Hopefully I'll make it more user friendly somtime in the future
  4. Ah! Nice, thank you for your fast reply! Do you know how to get the 100% figure?
  5. Hi all! I've made a spreadsheet that helps me plan my missions. I just went to Moho, established a polar orbit and turned on my Mapsat. While waiting I noticed that my circular orbit velocity calculation does not match the orbit speed KSP reports. I checked my calculations again, tested them with Kerbin and Eve, 100% correct.. I suspect something wrong with the Wiki numbers regarding Moho. The "Constant of Gravitation" is of course correct... (6,67259E-11) This means that the mass of Moho in the Wiki (3.6747079E+21) cannot be correct (or have I misunderstood something?). I'm at 100km orbit around Moho. KSP reports 694,1m/s. My spreadsheet suggest 836,04m/s. If KSP speed is right, Moho has a mass of about: 2,527E+21 This is quite different from the Wiki.. I'm no rocket scientist, can anyone shed some light on this? EDIT: From some more calculations, it could also be that the radius of Moho actually is around 207600m (I think??) Thanks!
  6. Banned for overuse of ribbons. If its not a "Medal of Honor" I'm not interested..
  7. Tested it now. It works by doing what you suggested. I was also able to make it work using quicksave and quickload. I tested both the provided .exe reader, and with netcat.
  8. Excellent Alterbaron! I'm in the aviation business, and we always prepare a "data card" before our missions. I'm planning to make something in Excel where you can input the "all" parameters(stages, twr, dV etc.) and your plan(go to Mun with such and such burns etc), and after some autocalcs you can print it out and track your mission status as you go vs planned numbers. Your work really helps! Also this page is excellent with example calculations! http://www.braeunig.us/space/
  9. Hi Corax! Thank you for your fast response! I'll give it a try and report back! Really looking forward to getting telemetry! If I get the motivation I might just brush up on my long forgotten programming skills
  10. Hi all! Has anybody been able to use this in 0.19? I've tried "everything" now.. and I cant get any telemetry. I think something might be wrong because I cannot right click the thing and "activate" and/or get info about it like you can do to the other rocket parts. The authors description does call for "the telemetry module is activated like any other part; you can put it in a separate stage or activate it together with other parts". It just not working. Please help.
