1. in the beginning yes as i had no clue how to do anything. It taught me. For the last few years I don't use it.
2. came close a couple times... but i do remember dumping a stage.... not looking where i am about to burn... burn right into my dumped stage.. boom
3. Started playing when version .14 was found....Was doing the orbiter sim then found ksp. Liked it so much i paid for it. I play cause i have to learn... and its space...its my space program.... no one is left behind or dies last mess o years. 1st big game landed everywhere to see if i could. Was mechjeb and forums... you people... which taught me. Lately its vanilla no one left behind or dies. Of course i quick save. On a pause til next update then start again
4. Congrats big big time. Been playing for years and the mun still keeps me on my toes catching me with a steep landing zone. Then i gotta stay down and hope it doesnt tip over when i disable stability or i risk moving .... always fun the mun. Congrats again and ty for the picks. We all love seeing other lander setups. - - - Updated - - - Omg there ya go. I decided to check that link in your thanks and i learned about the radar altimeter. I usually went by shadow and spotlights facing down to see where ground height was. Well now i have another useful instrument thanxs to you. Congrats and thankyou.
5. Memories....congrats for sure. Took days for me to get a good orbit. I remember i had to watch videos as i was gonna give up. But got there. Dont give up ever. Congrats again.
6. not chance. it's new game for me each update lol I don't post much lately as I don't have much to add that is already covered many people are on their pads and phones.. have no fear... KSP is here
7. excellent job. welcome what's your next mission?
8. wow Ziv that was a great mess o screenshots great mission planning and great ship(s) concept
9. suicide burns? currently searching the forums.... what is a suicide burn?. bet i do it but don't know the name answer: Set a descent orbit, burn retrograde at full power at the last possible moment before impact becomes inevitable. You wind up only burning vertically for seconds.
10. try this pic for DV http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/26180-Delta-v-map?highlight=delta-v
11. welcome to the forums and happy landing
12. that sounds like the engines are 'activating' but then not firing... have you tried hitting space again?
13. I laughed because I bet I have done each thing Don't think I have had an anomaly free long distance mission yet
14. bet you were a happy person when you touched down on the Mun it is always a great feeling with that slope and sideways movement... was expecting an explosion good job on that landing
15. congrats for sure it is always a great feeling when they connect into one after a long time of adjusting it will get easier and easier every time you dock p.s. keep those RCA centered and balanced.. pain in the butt when the ship isn't balanced
16. parts are on the left.. you will have to pick a command part 1st try the 'loading' option on the top right to see if the game loads a pre-made rocket too check out the massive amount of youtube videos as well.. many there for starting from scratch as for what to do 1st.. up to you. My 1st mission was to get to orbit .. took days and a whole lotta weeds before i started watching youtube and learning
17. welcome and happy launching (and crashing)
18. wait a few days of game time and the Mun should be outta the way or i remember seeing that Mun in the way often and i usually set the transfer so it just misses the Mun and do a mid-course correction burn once I am past the Mun to get into Minmus orbit
19. that is exactly why i bought the game. was also on another 'version' but liked it so much i had to support KSP welcome and happy launches
20. sure date my age Ya i remember sitting in front of the parents TV watching
21. my fav tip is no rushing.. i have found that i will do a lot more orbits now as I am running stock, no mechjeb or anything ship already in orbit we'll call B 2nd ship we'll call A put B with the docking port facing UP (like facing the north pole) so it revolves around it's own center ship A will be facing down (towards south pole) this eliminates the constant chasing of the ports that is of course if you have already ship A in a pretty close orbit to B good luck.. it takes a lot of practice and patience but major joy joy feelings when you do get that dock remember take time and small adjustments
22. start from scratch and run stock in hopes of not killing anyone with my accumulated knowledge
23. everything is working so far I am running stock and so far less struts are needed and everything is working as supposed to
24. not sure of the question usually to 'space out' you get some weed if you mean the 'space bar' as for staging.. haven't found another use for space
