Over the course of several flights, I captured my first asteroid, moved it into orbit around Kerbin, and brought it to the surface. Jeb threw a plane together and flew out to it, it was not far from the launch site.

A photo documentary of my mission to deliver a stationary science pod to the surface of Gilly, as I have been tending to do for all celestial bodies since science came out. For SCIENCE!

That would be fun to watch.

Therefore I have every right to criticize someone's ad hoc answer which is equivalent to saying that garden fairies did it. Everyone's right to a belief has to be respected, but the belief itself not. Right to criticize a belief is incredibly important. I would agree with that, it just how you did so that doesn't seem right to me. Criticizing him for not providing proof seems kind of silly when every other answer here cannot be proven either.
-
I believe the OP said he was interested in hearing people's beliefs on the subject. Those are his. Saying that the answer "God did it" is the same as "It just exists, shut up" implies hostility and/or ignorance that isn't necessarily there. It sounds like you have some preconceptions about religious people, that you apply to all in a sort of "blanket belief". Prejudice, I suppose.
-
Until you have proof for your answer to the question "Why does the universe exist?", you should probably not criticize his answer for not giving any.

The hardest thing to me is figuring out how to get to other planets and back. The wiki has instructions on planetary alignment for Duna and Eve, as well as Jool, but I think that's it. I have no idea when to take off from them to get home.

Fuel lines that aren't connected to anything can screw up fuel transfer too. -
This was highly amusing, for many reasons.

Post your space station MEGATHREAD
Echostatic replied to joppiesaus's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Bolse Munar Research Station, contains a crew of five, each get their own hitchhiker container. It is equipped with a science lab, numerous batteries and large solar arrays to power them, and four greenhouses to provide supplemental food and oxygen. It also has an escape vessel constantly standing by to return the crew to Kerbin, if necessary. -
Planes are weird.

This is the best post I have seen on the KSP forums to date. Thanks for that.

I have noticed that when I get this bug, the wheels are all the way out on their suspension. The whole rover goes rigid and it just jitters along until it reaches a change in terrain or flips over and makes me quickload.
-
It has made driving my two seater on Laythe a nightmare... Terrain change causes it to jitter and lose control, next terrain change gives control back, next terrain change loses control, etc etc... Lots and lots of quicksaving/loading.
-
I'd really like the ability to attach fuel lines on EVA too...

Windows 7, I have a pretty heavy duty water-cooled gaming rig I built. It's a few years old, but it still runs everything quite well.
-
Docking is my favorite thing to do in KSP. I've become very good at it, the navball is the key Well, that and properly placed RCS nozzles...
-
Currently, they just look pretty in the stock game.

Landing spaceplane on Laythe
Echostatic replied to pseudochicken's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
I've never tried it myself, but I would think the moon would lend itself well to a VTOL. Landing a more conventional plane seems many times more difficult. -
Bring back Gigantor Solar Panel attachment!

I'm also gonna speak up and say that I don't remember it having a bubble... -
I found Jeb Kerman's Junkyard And Spaceship Factory IRL

This is one of those little things that just makes my day. So much about this is awesome! Someone needs to email them a picture of their flag planted on the Mun with Jeb Bob and Bill in the pod so their names are in the lower right corner. If you really wanted to be devious, leave no explanation with the photo >
