  1. Oh man, now I'm really excited. It's always bugged me that, even if the sun is behind Jool, it will still be daylight on Laythe. Munar eclipses would be pretty darn cool, too. Even if this update doesn't really bring any new parts or gameplay mechanics, the foundation it is laying for future improvements is interesting.
  2. Pictures. PLEASE! It's rude to tease people!
  3. It definitely has something to do with controllers. I plugged mine in with KSP booted up and tried to change the inputs. The menu froze on that screen after I changed one input. I was able to move around in other menus and go back to the main menu, but the inputs screen would freeze again when I clicked the button to assign an input. After that, everytime I started the game, it would give me the prompt about sending game data to Squad and all of my settings would be reset. However, it was fullscreen even though the settings had reset to windowed 720p. It kept doing this even after I unplugged the controller and deleted all of the bindings. The way I had to fix it was to delete the settings config and restart the game. It seems to be saving settings now. I also remember Squad saying they were changing the way controllers were handled in one of the dev updates. Which leads me to believe it is the controller inputs causing problems, and not just changing certain settings. So I tried again with the controller plugged in before starting KSP up and that seems to have done it properly. Settings are all saved and working.
  4. Replace the main menu theme with [url=] and it suddenly changes the whole mood of KSP. Especially if you get the screen with Jeb crashed on Mun. Great work on this mod, thank you very much. I can finally listen to Space Oddity and Heavy Metal while playing without having to tab out to iTunes.
  5. 9:54 in the video. Anyway, almost all of these things seem like they're a little farther off than .22. What I wold like to see most though would be a background for the Astronaut Complex. Also, if a Kerbal dies, they stay under the lost tab. Currently for me that tab gets cleared when I exit the game. I would also like the have it say KIA for the Kerbals if we witnessed them die, but if we end the flight from the space center it says MIA. Just a little touch like that I think would be cool. Also, something to do with the new building that has no purpose yet.
  6. Procedural star systems. I would love so much to be able to look through the telescope at a distant star, and it be a unique, randomly generated system. Then, get my Kerbals into orbit and stuff them into their cryotubes so I can send them off to explore it five thousand years later.
  7. It's great to have you join the community! Sounds like you're definitely on the same track as I was when I started, maybe even a bit better. Don't worry about the Kerbals though, I think they'll recycle through eventually.
  8. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=s32TQWQZfEk This video's fairly helpful and the guy is a decent presenter. You should check it out if you want to try your hand at an SSTO.
  9. You might want to check and make sure you don't have any firewall or anti-spam blockers that may be keeping you from accessing the site.
  10. Well if you're not using an add-on, then whatever you feel is appropriate is what's correct. Since there's nothing there actually using it, it's just for show. I personally just have a dish in orbit around Kerbin and a dish in orbit around the planet they're landing on and that's all I worry about. It's all a matter of preference and how hard you want to work.
  11. I'm pretty much the same as everyone else on here. I've practically stopped playing all other games and my only other pass time is Youtube. Of which, most of the videos I watch are Scott Manley and other such videos. Since the only thing cooler than watching a rocket blow up a million times, is watching a rocket blow up a million times while learning awesome trivia from a suave Scotsman.
  12. Well, it's nice to know I'm not the only one. However, I have a sneaking suspicion it's all the plug-in related mods I have. I'll probably reinstall the game without them and try again in the morning.
  13. As of now, no they probably don't learn. Those stats have been around for awhile and determine the kerbals attitude during flight. If you had the crew manifest mod you could actually edit these stats and even flag the secret bad *** tag. Unfortunately, for the time being, plug-ins don't seem to be working. Back on topic though. Squad plans for Kerbals having the ability to learn and be trainable eventually. It will probably be a big part of career mode.
