OH. MY. GOD. I. FINALLY. CAUGHT. UP. WITH. THE. EDITING. REAL. LIFE. SUCKS.

Well, here's the 3 volumes: First Flight, First Flight: Kerbal Space Program, and First Flight: The Age of Fire

    First Flight Volume I.pdf

    First Flight Volume II.pdf

    First Flight Volume III.pdf

This should be a lot easier to keep up with now that the volumes are properly redone

also @JakeGrey is it alright if i make a downloadable copy of The Next Frontier to incorporate here, since it takes place in the same universe? if so i need a link to it, as the one in your signature is broken

Thanks for the offer, but I already made one to go online as a Patreon reward with illustrations drawn by a friend of mine... a project that unfortunately had to be placed on hold while my chosen illustrator was busy having her first child. You can also find it in the KSP section of AO3.

  2. Eh. I was in school with a guy who got a literal Darwin Award (remember that site?) for posing for a picture with a lit firecracker clenched between his teeth, which he failed to spit out in time.

(Have I mentioned I'm from a town so ghastly that I willingly moved to Luton to escape it? Because I did.)

Elton... JONton... and rocketmen all over the place! Pretty sure there was a candle in the wind somewhere, too, and I'm not sure about Benny and there's definitely been jets! I see what you're doing here!

Oh, good Lord, I can never unsee it now you've said that.

  4. I think there's also a question of training. Like you said, Ornie tried to bring it back under control instead of ejecting straight away; someone not used to operating on such a tiny budget that losing the first prototype makes it very unlikely you'll get to build a second would have bailed out as soon as everything started going pear-shaped.

  5. Those of you following Beyond The Next Frontier elsewhere on t'internet may also be interested to know that after much debate, and with some reluctance, we both agreed that going with a Nemesis The Warlock crossover would be a bad idea.

I will also create an Imgur album of the many, many pictures I took today as soon as I have the energy.

And thank you, KSK. It's the first time I've had a chance to talk about my story ideas face to face for a long time. And next time the first round's on me!

    :D Thanks!

Next chapter is about 50-60% done I think, but Real Life has been getting in the way of writing, so it's all been a bit slower than I would have liked. I'm on holiday next week though, so hoping to get the time to get it finished up.

This might provide a bit of inspiration too! On the off-chance that anybody else is planning to be there next week, if you spot an older, long-haired, slightly tubby guy in a Gagarin t-shirt*, he's always happy to find somewhere to have a coffee. :)

    * because I'm sure that'll narrow the field right down.

    What day?
