  1. That is funny, but really, is your C key broken?
  2. That moment when you are picking your mission flag and when you click on it you actually click a part on your ship, and then you have a mess. Happens to me every time, they need to fix that bug.
  3. That moment when land on a new planet so excited, you press EVA: Exit Blocked
  4. It may not be a 'Classic', as 'Classics' have to be of mass popularity, but it will be a forever remembered gem. Much like certain games are too us now. Do any of you know Chrome Hounds? That was a glorious gem that died a terrible SEGA death. Examples of 'Gems' but not 'Classics': -King Arthur's Gold (PC) -Robot Arena 2 (PC) -Chrome Hounds (Xbox 360) -Battle Zone (N64) -Battle Tanks (N64) -Neo Scavenger (PC) -Supreme Commander (PC [First one NOT the second])
  5. Good luck man, if you really want to return good ol' Bill to Kerbin, you will be taking on one of the hardest challenges of KSP. Eve is a cruel maiden, and doesn't like giving things back. I know because I just tried to send what I thought was a lander capable of a return trip, and now I have a 2 million fund ship sitting on Eve, unable to return.
  6. I didn't forget my chutes... I put them too close to the bottom...
  7. WOW, wish I had know about this like... 3 days ago when 4 of my rovers disappeared. Thank you so much for finding this!
  8. Eh, I don't clip at all because it just makes me feel bad inside. I don't hate on anyone who does clip. Some people are really talented and make beautiful looking rover / planes / rockets by using clipping. But using it to cluster engines or clip fuel tanks just feels wrong. Feels like I'm pulling out the debug menu and just turning on infinite fuel. So for me personally I don't use mods and have a strict no-clipping policy when it comes to actually achieving things in game. However if I'm doing stupid stuff in Sandbox mode, nothing wrong with a bit of fun
  9. I rage quit the forum for awhile after the wipe, hence the low post count
  10. The sinking happens because your struts are getting broken. I actually recently found this happening on my landers also. Some just seemed to want to sink into the ground more than others. If you send a Kerbal on EVA, you will see that it will say the strut is 'broken' and it'll sink into the ground (Which is really incredibly annoying). The only way to fix this I've found is use more struts, a lot more. And locking the suspension doesn't really help, in fact I think it breaks them easier (Try jumping and landing without bending your legs). What I had to do was simply send out a Kerbal everytime I landed and repair the legs one by one. You have to be careful doing this as the legs will spring out of the ground as soon as they are repaired (Also ridiculous). It's an annoying problem, but not impossible to fix
  11. Hey I was just wondering about the status of .23... Not when it will be released or anything, but I haven't seen any updates from the devs on the forums at all about it. Was there an announcement I missed that said they would be going quiet for awhile or what? Again, sorry if I missed this, but I just am a little worried by the lack of weekly updates. Thanks for answers!
  12. Oh yeah I only have 4 cards.. Is that true? That'd be really lame if you could only get the rest by trading.. Nobody I know owns this game yet so I'm kind of out of luck there then. Totally thought you got them by playing randomly. Meh. Thanks for the answer though!
  13. Hey people just a little question. (A little off topic) I'd love to earn the Steam badge for KSP, but after the update I haven't been able to earn any cards. Is this normal? I thought you just earned cards by playing, and I've played a lot since the update, but no cards. Anybody know the answer to this? thanks a bunch.
  14. I have to say, adding in career mode changed everything. All of a sudden I have a drive to be better and make things I've never made before. While Sandbox was really fun and it's fun to mess around, .22 made everything more serious, which for me makes it fun. I felt sadness and anger when I lost my first Kerbal (poor Jermore) due to poor planning. But this drove me to do the exact same mission but with such care and tension, it all worked out. Also, actually having a reason to land on Kerbin's mountains and various different terrain features refreshing. I landed in some Skyrim looking mountains, was awesome, got some cool samples. Anyways, Devs you are awesome. .22 is one small step for updates, one huge leap for KSP
  15. A few things: -Flying a Mun and back mission without any SAS or RCS. Completely manual. Only realized I had done so after I had launched and said screw it I don't need it. That was horrifying. -Not testing how the parachutes on my large two person buggie opened. Whenever it came down for landing the chutes would flip the buggie upside down, which always crashed it. I didn't realize this of course till I was landing on eve. -Not understanding why I should use drouge chutes. I'd rip my ships apart every time. every time.
  16. Wow, for being new to KSP, WELL DONE. That's an awesome project and it looks legit = bonus points. How does it fly? (Update us on the mission progress)
  17. You would do that? starve the kerbals of the chance to land on other planets? to experience space? You'd have probes get all the pleasure? But seriously, career mode is going to be awesome.. My heart is going to be pounding every launch of a Kerbal
  18. Ever noticed how in star wars, ships fly directly out from a planet like everyone did on their first flight in KSP? No gravity turns, just straight up. Everyone here can speak for themselves but, I think we've all done that one once. So yeah, no, no, not at all. KSP has got it right, it's funny watching star wars or other such movies and thinking (oh man they got it so wrong).
  19. Pretty much this, my first few landers I crashed into the Mun because I was trying to eyeball my landing (noob move). Look at the navball and pay attention to which way your craft is moving. Ideally you want to cancel out all horizontal movement, then lower yourself down.
  20. Haha, nice video! I wasn't expecting him to get ejected like that, what mod is that?
  21. Wow I never actually noticed that you could see Minmus from Kerbin , nice screenshot!
  22. If ASAS is 'shaking your station to pieces', I'd say your station could use some struts or steady pieces. If your station is a large, multipart Frankenstein monster, expect some wobble. ASAS is meant for keeping ships stable during flight, not stations in orbit.
