  2. I got all my info from http://forum.nasaspaceflight.com/index.php though I payed for a 3 month subscription... they have a ton of information on every aspect of the program.
  3. most of the images on the website are artist renditions, and dont represent the final product, they have been showing the black and white design for nostalgia's sake. But from what I have read its going to be orange. But either way. Both will be textured. I like the black and white, and thats what Ill be textring first lol.
  4. yeah I think when i texture it Im going to do both the saturn v design and the unpainted orange.
  5. Ok guys... Here is the update. I havent messed with the models for a while, and since the last time I messed with them I've learned a few things. So my spring break is coming up (next week) and I think im going to fix some of the issues some modeling and texturing issues (texel density). But rest assured this mod will get finished, I intend to put it into my portfolio, so expect updates starting up again soon.

  8. OMG dude, I havent been on the forums in a while been busy with school but this looks freaking amazing, wish I had the time to continue with my SLS mod!! Man this looks amazing!
  9. CHristmas break is comign, and I intend to start working on this mod again, so expect some updates. Im going to be remodeling a few pieces going to touch base with some people to help me get the mod into unity. Dont worry I havent abandoned this and it will get done.
  10. I wish I had some good news, Im prototyping for Planetside 2 right now, and that is taking a lot of my time. I havent abandoned the project. But I have all the modeling done, for the most part, if someone wants to take over getting them into KSP and has good experience just let me know.
  11. I intended on getting out a working version of the mod out over my school break but I've been having a myriad of computer issues, which has led to me building an entirely new computer. I am looking at getting a beta release out of the mod which will include everything but the Orion, so Ill be working on that. Sounds Great!! Fire a link over here to your wip thread once you've started.
  12. Ok just finished the render, these are just temporary textures, I did them this afternoon, but I had to have something for school. The animation isnt very goo either. But oh well what can you do in one day. LOL. Something funky happened to the UV's when i baked them, Ill have to fix that problem there is some stretching that wasnt there before. Oh and I know the scale is off way off, but the moon and earth are pretty much to scale.
  13. The numbers on the models is when you UV map so you can place textures such as Normal Maps and Texture Maps. They numbered squares are there to give a visual representation so you dont have stretched textures and that you have the same texel density through the entire model. Is reply with quote not working for anyone else?
  14. Yup I use maya... but blender is a perfectly capable program! Sorry guys I have nothing to show for my absence my computer decided to crap out on me. So Im way behind on my final projects and am playing catchup as we speak. My computer still isnt acting 100% but it will have to do. So FYI never upgrade several computer components finals week, its a bad idea.
  15. Right now I have 2 windows modeled but I dont like how they turned out and will be remodeling the CM soon, so Im creating some rough textures for it until I can rebuild the model.

  17. I think if they were going to use something of that quality and detail on this project that they would need to restart the entire thing. Because right now the modeling and texturing on this mod isnt on the same level as that Saturn V. Not to say this project is bad, but the contrast in quality would be significant. Plus this mod will run on most computers, that saturn v engine alone wont run on sub par laptops though it is pretty to look at.
  18. Just so you know that I havent abandoned the project. I should have the everything that I have UV'd and ready to texture hopefully by the end of today. and texturing will begin this weekend and hopefully Ill have enough done so I can start animating the video for my final project at school. I have two weeks left of school, so its crunch time! But this mod will be done I apologize for being on hiatus, life happens you know. Anyways still looking for some help with the unity and config files. So please PM me if you are interested.
