  1. Back in 0.17, I believe the name of my first rocket was "Orbiter mk1". I know. Pretty exciting. Hey, you stole my totally original idea >:C
  2. The point of the tech tree is not necessarily to encourage grinding for science. The devs commented that the tech tree was designed to unfold at the rate at which a new player is learning. They do not want to force experienced players to repeat such missions that are boring to them. It would detract from the fun of the game.
  3. First of all, the game will probably get harder once currency is added. Second, I think that squad will be able to add difficulty levels (altering the amount of science rewarded) after the game is released.
  4. I don't think that transmissions should have 100% value. I do, however, want to see the option for 'transmit data' bindable to an action group. That would make life easier in a balanced way.
  5. I like mystery goo containers for being able to transmit a decent amount of science at a decent efficiency. What I don't like about it is the fact that it must be mounted radially. This way, I have to add another container for balance. If there was an in-line option (I wouldn't care where it appears on the tech tree), life would be made a little easier for me. BTW, the devs must have discovered the secret to making games addicting with career mode.
  6. Are you sure? I believe it takes about 12,000 science to max out the tech tree and certainly you don't need to get all the science in the universe to do that.
  7. I am wondering what the absolute maximum possible amount of science obtainable is in one universe. To answer this question, one can't simply add the amount of science an initial test recieves for every biome on every planet. Repeated experiments do add more science. I am too lazy to do the math so I am hoping someone else has it figured out. Thanks!
  8. Ooh, difficulty. That sounds like something fun the devs could add eventually. (Probably after the game is released)
  9. The devs are working on adding biomes to other planets. It probably takes a little while for them to come up with proper biome areas considering how many planets and moons they will have to do.
  10. Yeah, the probes I make are now quite larger to house science equipment. The first probe I landed on Duna looks like a flying bedstead. I managed to streamline my design when I landed on eve but it was still larger than my previous probes. I am thinking that if I send a mission far out to another planet, I might as well put all the scientific equipment on.
  11. Well, The description says that the creator failed miserably. Still, I have never used it before and probably won't until it's buffed. I might have said small hardpoint but I just used them today to mount the landing gear on a lander which I found to be a bit tall.
  12. It happened to me in 0.21 when I tried to get all 21 passengers on my mun lander out on EVA. The kraken is still alive!
  13. It's nice to know that people appreciate the devs' work when the most common things said to devs are criticism and bug reports.
  14. After landing an unmanned probe on Duna: "Initial tests show that the red dust cannot be removed from the material. You consider sending pink EVA suits to cut down on cleaning costs."
  15. I'm not sure that's quite how it would work. The problem with that is that due to diminishing returns of repeating missions, there is only a limited amount of science that can be obtained in a universe.
  16. I'm proud to say that I managed to land on the moon perfectly on my first try
  17. Let's note that the title of the game is Kerbal Space Program. I believe that in the beginning of career mode you should be able to launch a rocket into space. In the beginning, these rockets may only be able to achieve sub-orbital flights with probes but they are rockets nonetheless.
  18. Guess what breaks a window...
  19. False. The user below me is following the League of Legends world championship series.
  20. Banned for referencing slenderman in your name.
  21. This may sound like a rude question but why were the forums down for the length of time they were. Is a server migration supposed to take that long? The length of time was extremely conspicuous.
  22. If you have enough chutes on board, you can do a landing completely unpowered except for the final touchdown. The key is having a shallow descent profile so that you utilize the atmosphere as much as possible.
  23. Ah, that's funny because everything is true. Our chemistry teacher pulled that on us on the first day of class.
