  1. Sorry folks, my webserver host is having issues ATM. Hopefully will be back up soon... I'll post when it is back up.
  2. I think my webserver was having issues. Should all be working fine now.
  3. I think I have a solution to the hatch... Looks like I can put one in the cargo pod without having to do anything funky. Also, working on a detachable cargo pod solution. Stayed tuned.
  4. The hatch has to intersect with the collision model of the Command Pod for it to work. I've had some problems getting back in thru the hatch as well...I had to walk my Kerbal over is multiple times to get the "F" menu to come up. Not sure what the issue is. I usually use the jet pack to fly up and get back in for now. But you're right, I need a better solution. Oh, and the Cygnus was HUUUUGE. o.O Palomino is very do-able though.
  5. Love the pics... Seeing peeps fly my Eagle around keeps me going.
  6. I have yet to try the Kethane mod. It looks awesome. I think I can make a tanker version of the Eagle that will stay balanced. (See post above) I'd love to see a pic of your tanker.
  7. Yeah in the show the gear compressed a bit when the Eagle landed. Not sure how I could make that work in game yet... The gear can perfectly fit in the octagonal pod if need be though. Tested that in 3ds Max. I'm sure that is something they intended to do in the show but never did. Not sure if I can add a hatch for Kerbals in a non command pod part. If I can, I'll try to add that in. I have plans to make the cargo pod detachable and add the extra engines so the Eagle can fly without it. I'll probably wait for the .17 patch before I do that. I also have plans for a cockpit. Stay tuned. Thanks for the link

  9. They never did retract. The show never had them retract, so my Eagle didn't either. May add that functionality in a later patch.

  14. OK got Unity figured out with a little help from DYJ in IRC chat. New command module has been .mu-a-fied and comes with a hatch that accepts Kerbonauts. Prebuilt .craft is rebalanced and ready to go as well. I'll upload the new file in a bit. Scale is a bit off but that will be for another update...
  15. OK I'm back on this mod and getting it up to speed for .16-.17 I just finished remodeling a higher detail command pod Now I just have to figure out how Unity works so I can add Kerbals to the cockpit...

  17. Hey guys, sorry I have been away working on another project. To answer a few questions... Yup, I\'ll make a cockpit for the Eagle when .16 comes out. I\'ll have to dig around the net to find a layout pic of it somewhere. I know what was seen in the show didn\'t actually match up with the exterior dimensions so I will have to take some artistic liberty. (Early sci-fi shows were notorious about doing that) The landing gear of the Eagle was designed to retract.. The pads fit perfectly in the pods when recessed *but* this was never shown on the show. Eagles were always shown with their gear down. I\'m not sure why you would need retractable gear anyway because the Eagle was meant to fly in a vacuum most of the time. It did fly in atmospheres at times but it isn\'t the most aerodynamic shape that is for sure. I doubt retractable gear would help much... We\'ll see... I may may the gear retractable in the future. Corax: Many thanks for setting up the cameras for the Eagle. I have been away from the game for a few weeks so I have been out of the loop.
  18. Currently MechJeb doesn\'t support fully automated VTOL landings.. BUT.. you can set to up to at least semi-automate the landings. Procedure: - Get the Eagle relatively level - Activate the SMART A.S.S. - Hit the KILL ROT button - Activate the TRANSLATION - Hit the KEEP VERT button and punch in your desired decent rate. You can then land horizontally with minimal flight adjustments.

Eagles back up to the flight line! 5/18/12 1.1 Patch - Made Eagle KSP .15 compatible - Eagle_SPH.craft file (prebuilt Eagle) made for horizontal launch from the Space Plane Hangar - Fixed VTOL thrust being displayed to close to hull - Fixed landing pads sinking in ground when landed (Doesn\'t seem to work on the runway)
  22. Patch .15 broke the Eagles. Eagles are hearby grounded until repairs can be made. Stand by.
