  1. Same issue here. Might worth to check other directionnal antennas too.
  2. Confirmed, compatibility warning when loading KSP, then in-game all chutes seem to have disappeared from categories (they used to be in "Utility"). Oddly, you can find them (including RealChutes) using the "Advanced" parts filters (by manufacturer, by part size...). A fix would be handy
  3. I don't see how it would be possible. The reaction happens in the combustion chamber, then the byproducts are expelled through the nozzle, which generates thrust. I see no way to "recapture" combustion byproducts.
  4. Hello, I'm searching for a mod I think I have used in the past. It's a part (a 1,25m ring) that you could stack atop a Mk2 command pod (the Apollo-like one) and say a docking port. Or maybe it was a 1,25m docking port including chutes/drogues. Using the stock radial ones is really ugly and often end up blocking a porthole or a door. Thanks in advance, searched around but unable to find it ! Thanks in advance.

  7. Thanks for the reply, well then it must be an installation issue from my side. It just doesn't show up at all. I used it before so I wonder what I missed. Put it under KSP\Gamedata\Nereid\Nanogauges as told. Oh I'm running the x64 version (having a x64 proc and a x64 OS), could that be the issue ? I think it shouldn't but who knows...

  9. N°1 : Wolfhound, yes. Clearly overpowered and over-ISP-ed. The Apollo SPS it clearly tries to replicate had something like 100kN of thrust.

Strict Direct Ascent or not, I do think that landing the Mk1 pod without entering lunar orbit is one of the best recipes (as a mix of tech available early, cost-efficiency and mission design simplicity). Skipping the Parking Orbit and going straight up is an interesting idea, but it sure requires to a very accurate launch window and ascent trajectory. The ideal munar landing is achieved performing a "suicide burn" ; which means engaging full thrust at the very last moment. It requires some maths unless you use autopilot mods.   13. My main reference frame is our Reality. KSP is cheating our Reality by offering us a smaller version of the Solar System. There are good reasons : making spaceflight easier and funnier, allowing very empirical problem-solving. In reality it's more like working years behind computers and loading the right data into the spacecraft computer, then hoping for the best, which is moderatly fun.
