  1. Got it. Now I see the need for CKAN. It was easy to load MechJeb2 once I figured out how to have CKAN "see" my instance of KSP by pointing it to the buildlD64 file.
  2. Got back yesterday.  I loaded CKAN and build 883 of MechJeb2. Took a while to figure out that I had to load my instance of Kerbal into CKAN by pointing CKAN to a file called BuildlD64 in the root of the Kerbal Space Program folder.

Once I did that, CKAN populated and I was able to select MechJeb2.

MechJeb2 is now visible when I'm in Sandbox mode.

I'm playing around with launching, orbiting and moving to orbit around the Mun.  I'm using too much fuel with my insertion maneuver, I need several burns.  But that's because I'm not proficient enough to get the trip and insertion to the Mun right.

Thanks all for your help.  I've got a lot of reading to do now!

  3. Thank you everyone trying to help me get MechJeb2 working with Kerbal 1.7.  I have to step away for a couple of weeks so I won't be able to try your suggestions till I get back.  But when I do return, rest assured, I'll probably be reaching back out to this thread for help :-)

  4. I didn't see the need for ckan since I can just unzip MechJeb2 into the appropriate directory.
  5. Where did you get MechJeb 2.8.3.0-883. How can you find out what build it is. My downloaded file says its 2.8.3.0 but no -883. Looking at Curse Forge the MechJeb2 2.8.3.0 says it's for Kerbal 1.6. I'm using 1.7 how about you?
  6. I downloaded MechJeb from Cruse Forge which linked to Github. This link: https://kerbal.curseforge.com/projects/mechjeb I upgraded Kerbal to 1.7 I started sandbox mode. When you say look for the MechJeb icon in the toolbar. Do you mean in the lower left of the screen? I now see the maneuver tools which I guess is a new feature in v1.7 but do not see any MechJeb icon. Working on figuring out how to get a log file to send you.
  7. By key I meant on the keyboard, is there a key or key sequence to activate it? I downloaded MechJeb v2.8.3.0 I have Kerbal v1.4.2.2110 I went into sandbox and loaded the Kerbal X rocket and went to the launchpad. I don't see anything on the screen to activate MechJeb. I did see MechJeb load when the game starts and the loading bar flashes whats loading.
  8. So it unzipped into Kerbal Space Program\GameData\MechJeb2, that's correct right? So when I load Kerbal will I see it when I run a Training Scenario or do I need to be in Career Mode? Is there a key that activates it? Thanks
  9. Fubarbrickdust, I know you posted this a long time ago in a galaxy far far way... Anyway, I just started using a PS4 controller on a Windows 10 PC and would love an example of your PS4 controller mapping. The link you have in the original post is bad. Thanks
