Not if you limit it... A Kerbal could only have one sub-speciality, and only to level 2 or 3 -
I'd like to be able to cross train Kerbals in different fields... Imagine a scientist that could fix a flat, or a pilot that could do basic science. It would only have to be one extra speciality pre Kerbal, and no higher than two stars, and could be experience based. That is, a Kerbal couldn't start cross training until reaching level 3 or 4 in his own field.

Just spitballing here, but why not a VTOL setup? It would make finding a flat level spot easier...

Good news everyone!... S.A.V.E. appears to work in Linux... Atleast on my install at any rate (Fedora 20 x64) running thr 64 bit v of KSP. EDIT: There seems to be one caveat though... the dialouge box won't go away once I'm in game and the hide button won't work. the function is fine it will make saves wherever I want them. -

So simple, so elegant... Thank you! EDIT: [Prof. Farnsworth] Just one tiny problem... And it's a big one! [/Prof. Farnsworth] In orbit if I cycle the RCS modes (staging/docking) the throttle goes to 50%, and if the engine is active it will light up. Hilarity ensues along with a mad scramble to get it shutdown and then correct the orbit.

Yup... I loaded up a bog standard copy of the game with TaurusHCV as the only mod and it worked just fine. Now all I have to do is go through the mods I have and find the offender. EDIT: Fouuund iiit!... A small mod called Default Throttle, which the user can set the default throttle setting. Handy for space planes not having the default 50% throttle, but apparently is FUBAR when cycling RCS modes.- 786 replies

Love the mod, the capsule is just the thing, however... I'm having a rather odd problem with the Quadroodle engine. The engine will ignite when I shift between docking and staging mode. If I've activated the engine prior to cycling RCS modes I"m at least able to shut them down, but if the engine isn't activated first then it's an uncontrolable burn and it's all I can do to get myself oriented retrograde for an emergency deorbit burn.- 786 replies

Oh great!... Now I've got to try to find room for yet another "must have" mod... This is getting insane, I mean every time I turn around it seems that there's a new mod that I just have to have, and can't live without... Great job on the tanks BTW, I love them and can't live without them! -
I was wondering how long it would take for sombody to do this ... I may have to find a way to use this in an escape system... Hmmm.

Along with a low CoG have you tried wide and slow? How about a tracked vehicle? I don't have a link handy, but there is a tracks mod around, and they do work well in low gravity.
