  1. I think the engine gimbal should only move if the engine is turned on.
  2. It's just there like all of the other asteroids, right outside of kerbin orbit. But it may be possible to use kerbin as a slingshot or something, but I don't know how much it would reduce the deltav.
  3. I've started designing a way to accelerate a class e asteroid 2000 m/s to reach jool. And it's going to require at least 20 S3-14400 fuel tanks, in order to have a twr of greater than .2. And this is only after the fuel reaches the asteroid, so the fuel tanks will have to be attached to the asteroid first.
  4. I understand what you're saying, but I just feel like there's something wrong or something, since any plane supposedly just turns if it rolls to the side. This article says a paper airplane turns if it rolls to the side. https://www.grc.nasa.gov/www/k-12/airplane/alr.html https://www.grc.nasa.gov/www/k-12/airplane/objmotion.html
  5. Something about the aerodynamics isn't allowing the planes to bank left or right. The aerodynamic force should make it turn according to this article. https://www.decodedscience.org/how-does-an-airplane-turn-forces-working-to-turn-an-aircraft/11656
  6. I just wanted to suggest making a graphical editor to make mods.
  7. I understand. But I don't understand the interior configuration files. I can make a 3d model of the interior, but I don't know how to convert it into an actual interior view.
  8. Why aren't the interior models for the stock parts inside of the part folder? There's a spaces folder that has the interior views it looks like.
  9. I just wanted to share this command module I made in the past.  It looks real.  I'm trying to make a new one though.zDHqbWA.png

  10. There isn't an option to delete my account
  11. I have no idea how to measure the error in orientation, but the control algorithm for my previous autopilot mod depended on the angular velocity. The desired angular velocity about whichever axis depended on the error with respect to that axis, and I varied the angular acceleration to maintain the desired angular velocity, so as you're rotating it smoothly just decelerates on the desired direction, and if the ship is rotating like with its orbit then it just maintains the angular velocity. But I don't know how to use quaternions to accomplish that. I just used the down direction and right direction and forward direction to compare to the orientation. And the orbit direction. But I could never figure out how to correct the error like the game itself does. Because it only seems to care about the relative rotation or something, but mine could only depend on the front, down, side directions. And it doesn't seem to care about the roll axis, only yaw and pitch. But that makes it even more confusing for me because I couldn't figure out how to find the desired direction in absolute coordinates, unless it was the orbit direction or something. But the error depends on the angles relative to the forward direction.
