  1. OK, whew thats better. I was pulling out hair. I don't know if it works or not. I really liked this mod so it would be great if it would. if i have some extra time i will 'test' it, or you can test it with the new version(s). remember to add the extra config as listed above. post results back here and if i do test i will do same. cheers.
  2. really great looking work. well done.
  3. hello to sobol and all others. very nice mod. i am looking forward to giving this a go. are there any updated craft files? I have tried going back to some previous versions and have had 'some' luck with some craft, but was wondering if there might be any updated craft files. I just want to make sure that i have all of the great parts in the correct place. I crash enough on my own to not have a misplaced part bring me down. cheers and thanks again.
  4. Many thanks for info and reply. I am starting from scratch with a complete clean install. currently i can not get ksp to load with the new sstu dir's installed. just bare load is causing ksp to hang. I will find it. cheers.
  5. roger that. just thought initial tests using a blueprint would come first. my bad. lets see what we can concoct. cheers.
  6. ok, time to start playing with the dev stuff. thanks. hey, any new craft files? or which should we use for initial testing ?? Cheers.
  7. let me see if i can dig up some info for you. cheers.
  8. any and all, if possible. any new shapes and methods to not burn up are always great.. with what you have, and the 'normal', i can only think of nasa's conical ones. at least for now. That old mod was really great. it was ahead of its time and it is a real shame it disappeared. your great stuff is some of the first new heat deflection devices we have had in a long time... really, really nice. thanks.
  9. looks great. a long time ago there was a mod, [1.0.4] Oblivion Aerospace Pack: Now supports stock heating! (v0.1.5, 2015-06-24), that had conical heat shields and covers. it has been gone now for a long time. it was very useful in building viking, curiosity and other mars probes that needed to do re-entry then pop the top and start various other ways to slow down. This is a step in that direction, thanks. maybe if possible you might look at some of the old conical heat shield shapes and see how hard it would be to bring something like that back. maybe???? again, thanks for a great mod that is getting better and better. cheers. and ablator is good, real good....
  10. sounds great. looking forward to having this great mod back. I use it all of the time to run tests. cheers.
  11. Hello all; For some reason I am having problems with this latest version of CME. My standard stock ships, as supplied by the download, are getting all flimsy and trying to break apart during launch. I am using all of the same mods (mechjeb, kerbaljoint, etc) as i have in previous versions of KSP. I am starting to run tests to try and trouble shoot this, but i was wondering if anyone else has seen this problem with the latest release of KSP 1.4.3 and this latest release. thanks for any and all help, ideas or other. Found the problem. somehow i had a corrupted version of KJE. All works as it should now. Cheers.
  12. just wanted to say thanks for this great mod and looking forward to it in the future, whenever you get the time to work on it. it really makes a difference to how all looks as everything crashes, er a i mean lands... cheers.
  13. I am getting pounded by it now. I am trying to trouble shoot and locate which mod is doing it. cheers. looks like it is coming from [1.3.1] Reentry Particle Effect 1.1 (2016-10-24) pizzaovenhead knows about it and will get to it when he can... hope this helps you..
  14. Looks great as is. If many want 'stockish' maybe an option to load different texture?? really nice looking parts pack. looking forward to crashing landing these into many different bodies. cheers.
  15. Oh yes.... Good fix. FPS back up to 257 from 54 (opening page, i use for simple baseline fps tests) very nice to have them back. now to load something else to chew on them.... cheers and thanks again.
