  1. I've thought about this a lot... Venus, Jupiter, Saturn, Mars, etc... are very visible in the night sky, naked eye... Heck you can practically see the moons of Jupiter naked eye... You think you'd be able to see the planets from the ground.
  2. This is complex and I'll have to think about it for a while... It does seem that data transfer has been nerfed to the point that I would never use it, unless the craft, or no part of it is ever coming back... What if the lab gave a bonus like 150% science... performing lab tests on the scene, or in zero gravity could be beneficial to the research that can't be tested that way on the ground... I have seeds that were on the international space station at my house, science in space is used and beneficial. Also, you could do tests in space that can't be done on the surface... Take materials up for testing in Zero G's. Each type of science should work differently though... a ground sample... can't be sent back via signal... maybe doing the lab gives the 50% bonus for testing it in space and then the other 100% could be done on the surface... A temp. scan, just give 100% for a transfer, no lab bonus(this gives value to having something to send the signal back)... The Goo... maybe seeing it's reaction live in the station(lab)... gives a bonus... it won't be like that when it's back on the ground right? You transfer the goo to the lab and get the bonus... The lab has extra goo to refill the test, reusable(like now). If you just transfer(radio) the goo back... nothing is like seeing it, or touching it... 50% return. I'll think about it more.

  4. Kold (Gold). They are probably smart enough to not use a fiat currency. ;-)
  5. How about Koins(Coins)? Krubels(rubels)? Kerbjamens(Benjamins)?
  6. This is what I experienced. I was landed on the surface, stopped, extended the panels... I went back to KSC... exited the program and came back later... when I came back the solar panels were in pieces all around the craft.
  7. Okay, so I'm playing career mode. I flew a plane to the north pole and it probably took about 40 minutes... I was tired. I landed, stopped, and extended my panels on the plane so I wouldn't come back to having no power... Well, when I went back to the flight both of the panels were "broken". So, I'm not trying to cheat... I just want the plane the way it was when I left. I want to do a lot of science up there, now I'm not going to be able to recharge my batteries and the mission is scrapped without that capability. Basically, how do I edit the files so that flights vehicle has the panels intact again? Thanks in advance.
  8. Really?!? I had built planes and was flying all over the place to different biomes collecting science... So because I was in atmosphere it wasn't taking any of the F5 quicksaves? Is that true even when on the ground landed? If so... Wow, that is not cool, but would explain it...
  9. That is why we need to raise hell when something is important and NEEDS to be done!!!!! The squeaky wheel gets the grease. Unfortunate, but true. Everyone comment here that this needs to be done. Maybe we can email someone to let them know this needs to be done. Maybe we can make a donation for a specific feature. Now is the time for this, BECAUSE of the career mode, we need to save the game and know "when" the loading file is going back to. The revert flight is a good option, BUT it doesn't do the trick with a complex mission with many "stages". You don't want to revert to launch in the middle of a several hour mission...
  10. The bottom line is this game needs this. One time happening is one time too many. I can say this having played 196 hours.
  11. I was pressing F5! Then I held down F9 and it loaded back to last night!
  12. You can choose who is on board for every mission by clicking on the launch pad or selecting it on the "kerbal tab" when building... just take the half second to make a selection. Are we that lazy in preparing our missions that we can't do that? How long do you spend on building the craft and you can't take about 1-2 seconds more? Do you want the computer making a random selection or do you want the player making the conscious decision of who should go? Don't waste any time on this feature that isn't needed. This should be about 500th down on the list in comparison to other requests.
