  1. oh, one more question if i may, What makes a base a base? My first mun base on the mun is labeled a "ship" on the space center but I noticed there is an icon for "bases" How do I make it so my mun base is labeled as a base rather than a ship?
  2. This new absence of "End flight" is starting to really get on my nerves. Sorry I can't take screenshots, since I have to exit the game to get them I am bringing a large mun base to the Mun with 5 kerbals in side. I accidently released four of my engines, but they stayed in place and it got me to go in trajectory to the mun. Once I was in the correct trojectory, I started my other engines and let the nuclear engines just keep going as they went around in circles I wanted to see if they would stay as space debris, so I looked around at em looking at their orbits. BUT I got too far away from the mun base which is flying towards the mun and now I cant select the mun base to control. The stupid excuse is "can't change ship while throttled up" It won't let me change to the mun base because my completetly bare and empty seperated engine which I am viewing is still technically "throttled up" despite not having any fuel left or electricity How do I throttle down this engine so I can control my mun base? It is heading straight for the mun with 5 kerbals I don't want to do this all over again just because of a stupid limitation I looked in the cheat menu, I can't find any with electricity or whatever so I cant throttle down. Besides there are nobatteries on that engine. I can't go to space center, because it will revert the flight to launch. There is no end flight so I cant even get rid of the damn thing. The kerbal wrecking ball does not work in space, the balls are just appearing far away and just fall slowly to earth how do I get back in control of my mun base
  3. by the way, reading about him made me search wikipedia to human subject experimentation, bringing me to nazi experiments, bringing me to the WWII Doctor Trials, which brought me to read about a certain famous british executioner Albert Pierrepoint who executed some of these doctors, which brought me to learn about two people he executed John Amery and William Joyce "Lord Haw Haw" which brought me to listen to some WWII radio propoganda, which brought me to watch some historical WWII videos, which brought me to find a show called "Crash Course History" on youtube, which brought me to watch shows about the Roman Empire, WWII, WWI, industrialization of the economy, and other such things. and now, I closed all those tabs after those few hours of learning, and to tell you thank you yay learning
  4. Bill accidently got sent escape trajectory and is now orbiting the sun. I felt so bad about it, so stupid of me to run out of fuel. I couldn't take it anymore, him being out there. So I imagined he went insane, and had him jump out of the ship to float in space. RIP BILL

You're right! um... looks like I just didn't know how to transfer fuel It's the Area 51 of Kerbalkind. actually, I was going to paste a picture of the Mun and Kerban in there, but I am bad at the new microsoft paint layout and gave up. besides, the white makes it easy to draw the arrows. I just assume that it was because of the stack seperators, the one I was using said not cross feed compatable, so I went bonkers! but it all turns out I did not know how to actually move fuel... ;p at least I think... I cannot test the craft I made, I am just testing theo ne in the mun landing scenario now. my save seems to have broke and I cant use the assembly building (talking about it here: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/showthread.php/42063-Can-t-click-ANY-buttons-in-the-Vehicle-Assembly-Building I like that! And it even has a rover!!! Wow! (I am really bad at rovers, don't even know where to start...) I wonder if that build works in the new patch? but I will just try to take some of his wonderful ideas and put it on my ship for now. my ship is basically just copying the one in the mun scenario, I find it fun to do the docking thing, for practice and stuff since I'm really bad at it. (although I am still always having trouble building a rocket which can bring it to the mun ) thank you for that link! now if only I knew how to change the thread to "answered"...
  7. I have a two stage lander thing, like in the Mun scenario (with a command pod and a lander pod). I like doing this kind of landing, relaunch dock and return to kerban. alas, i have never been sucessful, thanks to my old design that I put an rcs booster on the dockign port, and they never docked (i assumed iw ould be able to move fuel from the lander to the command, because i was very low on fuel in the command pod) so, with the new patch, i tried again and made another two stage lander or whatever it is called. but, I cannot get the fuel from the lander to get in the fuel tank for the command pod! here is a picture of it and showing where i want the fuel to go, after i redock after landing on the mun: http://i.imgur.com/x8UdrFN.png and yes it is not finished or whatever yes i know it does not have landing gears blahbalhblagh so, is there any way to get the fuel between the two to move? (or do i just not know how to move fuel from one tank to another?)
  8. I am trying to make a ship, but it needed more boosters! The solid fuel was not doing well enough, so I decided to try to build larger liquid fuel rockets to go on the side, but they refuse to stack! I tried loading the kerban X stock ship or whatever it is called to see if it did the same there, and well this is what keeps happening: http://i.imgur.com/pCkWWbk.jpg http://i.imgur.com/Fjljrq0.jpg how do you get them to stack correctly? I can only get it to work if its on the main body, but even then if i do it that way i have to put the decoupler on the very top of the fuel and that is too dangerous for my tastes! is there some button to push to make them stack better? Ive tried for 15 minutes and gave up!
