  1. OK, as long as you are confident the hosts computers can render battles >= 30 fps I'm cool with it. I don't have anything made for ASCIII yet, and I will be out of commission for the next week or so. @JollyGreenGI Any chance you could do a 4v4 test with your fabulous "sweep" triplane? And give us a demo youtube video? Maybe check FPS in the alt-f12 menu a couple times during battle?
  2. I'm not sure FPS scales linearly with parts count. I think the number of AI's, and amount of ordnance in the air, has a big effect too. I might be talking out my a** here, which is why I think we should see how it actually plays before committing.
  3. @inigma While I love big multi-plane brawls, I am concerned that some/most of our hosts will not be able to play these at decent framerates. Which not only looks bad, I think it actually affects the physics and gameplay. I would much rather see butter-smooth 2v2 than chunky 4v4. I don't know, maybe I'm wrong, perhaps some play testing to confirm?
  4. A post WWII era fantasy challenge would be awesome as well. Like pretty much any plane from this site! http://www.luft46.com/ Almost like real life KSP
  5. Here's my entry. Just a totally stock, no clipping, no non-sense design. Delivers 73.6t to orbit with fuel left over for dr-orbit and landing. Total fuel cost = $9,900 (actually had a bit left over so not quite this much) Total Payload to LKO = 73.6t 9,900 / 73.6 = 134.51 funds per ton delivered to orbit Not the best possible score, but pretty good for a stock, conventional lifter.
  6. That thing is AWESOME. I was gonna do a triplane also, but now I may have to do a quadplane, or even hexplane
  7. I present the most practical space plane in KSP A bold claim I know... Minimal parts count, very stable and predictable flight characteristics, heat tolerant parts, docking port, lights, etc... Hauls two full orange tanks (72t!) and 4 kerbals to LKO, with fuel left over for de-orbit and landing. Haul space station parts to orbit, fly to minmus, rescue Kerbals, do pretty much anything that needs doing in Kerbin orbit. Pretty boring demo video, but she gets the job done!
  8. Have you looked at the profiles yet? You may be able to configure it just how want already
  9. @Gotmachine Nice testing. It does appear to be related to the Stock bug. LOL issue #750 is from KSP version 0.2, 3 years ago! @ShotgunNinja Provided me with a test build that does seem to resolve the issue! I'm not sure by what magic it works, and there may be some corner cases where behavior is still odd. But my kerbal space station now happily max time warps around kerbin for years at a time. Thus enabling long duration missions, Duna here I come! What amazing response and support from the mod dev!
  10. Just open the Orbiter EC Test save file. At 100x time warp in the station it completely charges from the shadow side in about 1/10 of an orbit. From the tracking station you can easily see how it's fine at any time warp but max. When you get a low EC warning at max time warp you can just reduce time warp by 1 step to recover and fully charge. https://drive.google.com/file/d/0B4zLBUio4kIncnMwOVpyWWFadUk/view?usp=sharing Thanks for an awesome mod!
  11. Using default profile I am running out of EC at max time warp. At any time warp below max, it is fine. It's a space station equipped with Science Lab, Gravity Ring, Greenhouse, etc... It has plenty of EC generation and storage. I'm running a few mods like KAC, Scatterer, mechjeb, but I doubt these would cause this issue. I can upload the .craft if that would help. I really want to fly a mission to Duna but this is crippling to that effort. Thoughts?
  12. Weird, I never saw functional radar in the vulcaraptor f22 command pod without the inline radome added. More investigation is needed. Perhaps I've had an extra BDA part and 1/3t mass for no good reason, ;p I have the same dang bug!!! The only work-around I have found is to F9 and start over. Let me know if you figure it out
  13. OK, I can't help myself, one last entry. I bring you VulcaRaptor 2.0!!! It's lighter, faster, and smarter. It super-cruises and pulls 15g+ turns all day long. It STOMPS the current KOTH, which is an illegitimate b*stard child and must be removed from the throne I did upload it as a new craft because I really didn't want to replace VulcaRaptor 1.0. Please let me know if this is not acceptable and I will update the vulcaraptor 1.0 entry with the new version. https://kerbalx.com/g00bd0g/VulcaRaptor-20
  14. @ShotgunNinja Thanks! Sorry to pester you with more questions, what else does CLS do in kerbalism (other than crew transfers)? Trying to decide if I want it or not.
  15. Is shielding cumulative or do I need to move all my kerbals to the most shielded module when an "event" occurs?
  16. Oh and one thing I'd like to add. Both of the most recent matches I lost, I was started in the West facing runway. It is my belief that the West facing team has a disadvantage because the AI always starts with turns to left, resulting in the W facing team always "climbing the hill" and having their speed and maneuvering options reduced by the proximity to the terrain. Please note, I am NOT making excuses or contesting the results. BUT, as the competition gets tighter, we have to start making things as fair as possible, as even minute advantages can yield big results. In the future I suggest we either start over flat terrain, or run at least 5 matches while alternating start positions.
  17. I use shadowplay. It's free, but I think it only works with and nvidia card http://www.geforce.com/geforce-experience/shadowplay
  18. Excellent battle! A little hard to make out the details at 480p, is the higher res still processing? I am glad to have some great competition, it only makes for better designs and better battles I already have an improved VulcaRaptor, but I think I may just rest on my laurels for the rest of ASC-II, and unleash the next next monster in ASC-III ;p
  19. The last few battles have been amazing! Such great battles, really shows off the AI when the competition is close. BDA should use these for promo
