  1. uhhhh..... i did that like last week???? it's completely OP. if you can figure out how to take off with such little power. but after that. any plane could reach mach 2 at 18k altitude. solar panels is just free fuel, so i considered it cheating. it's already super feasible with fuel cells alone
  2. spent about 15 minutes tinkering with it, i still don't know how it works and how to set a waypoint successfully. pilot assistant seems to be better for me. since it turns somewhat automatically....
  3. again that autopilot feature. which one is it from?
  4. what average? " The score is based on the cost of fuel used divided by the total mass of the the cargo (add all delivered cargo masses) " now that i paid attention again. mine is the correct calculation. yours is the wrong one. your score should have been 2.131806419644332, or just 2.13. lower than mine
  5. oh cmon. i'm pretty sure there quite a bit of players here that are 30+ i'm not that old, but i am, still a bit older than you. we're still young..... i think
  6. cost of fuel -> 89*0.8= 71.2 total cargo weight 3.956*5 = 19.78 score : 71.2/19.78 = 3.599595551061678 -> or just 3.6 not low enough. i need to revisit this later. and also train my landing skill.
  7. so long and small wings are better for low speed lift than big and short wings?
  8. i don't get how do are you able to go so slow, with wings so small, and lift so much and be so efficient on FAR?
  9. F*** me... 70% through the 2 and a half hour trip and the plane exploded. and KSP won't load the last quicksave. OP hybrid plane is OP. turns out it can go up to 2.4 mach and still go even faster on FAR @ 23000M..... but it overheats... so fudge that. i found another loophole will post the result soon* *: as soon as i find another way to record.
  10. @Pine what's the score/price for oxidizer? i managed to build a hybrid plane. a competitive one, even with FAR. it's an electric plane, but the electricity is fed by a fuel cell array. and fuel cell arrays takes both liquid fuel and oxidizer. a sustainable mach 1 speed on FAR and sustainable electric charge only consuming a puny amount of fuel. i'm still flight testing right now, but this seems to be super competitive @Van Disaster question. do you know if propeller rotation torque is also emulated/simulated on FAR? my plane seems to like to roll to the left randomly, although slowly
  11. tried my method yet? but maybe in FAR modify it a little to a 2 stage. touchdown on water -> deploy drogue chute -> slows down enough - > deploy radial chute
  12. my entry. far inferior to @Van Disaster's plane. started with 461 (wayyyyy too many, and became a dead weight) ended on 407 fuel 461-407 = 54 score 54*0.8 / 6 = 7.2 could be MUCH better
  13. okay. here's my sea rescue attempt attempt #1 that one didn't actually finish the challenge........ so here's attempt #2 and #3 in the same video.
  14. yeah. don't torture yourself like that. i tried it with a biplane. it flies wonderfully, the fuel economy is very acceptable. but is nearly impossible to take off or land. even needs parachutes to land safely. and the speed is herrendous
  15. that last pic of mine wasn't the entry. it's just the proof of the amount of fuel i started with on my last post. the 288 kerbals rescue plane
  16. right. up next. if i can do it. biplane style polar flight. @Pine it starts on this finished with 1552 remaining (now that i see it again. it took the best part of 200 fuel units just to take off, lol.) 15714-1552= 14162 *0.8->11329.6 /288-> 39.3 freaking hell that's unexpectedly good O_O
  17. okay i retried the passenger flight. keep on consuming too much fuel, or not having enough power with less engines. so i said. fudge it. i'm doing another kerbal rescue mission. with a plane for 288+4 kerbals crew. below 40mins warning. plenty of pictures.
  18. okay i've been out of the KSP world for a while. what's SXT? i've been looking for it but i can't find it.... 1 last thing. i want to try using a joystick. do i just plug an play with it, or does it need a plugin? because i don't know where i have to search for it
  19. what mods are you using? because i certainly did it manually and wasted quite a lot of fuel and time in the process.
  20. okay. i kinda broke the rule, or maybe bend it.... KSP didn't save my screenshots up until i'm really near the polar airport. so please spare me i could re do the take off and 'augment' the album. it wouldn't really matter much though. and i didn't spend 4 hours just to lie. this submission is for a passenger flights http://imgur.com/a/IYkpS as for the score. fuel used = max fuel load - fuel left -> 13125 - 767 = 12,358 passenger seat count. it has 16 seats in a single 'cabin unit' there's 6 cabin unit in a row i have 3 rows of cabin unit that's 16*6*3 = 288 kerbals + 4 on the cockpit = 292 so score. (12,358*0.8)/292 = that's 33.85 if this entry is valid. i should be on 5th place ------------------------------------------------------- and here's the other entry. the Emergency Rescue Mission. officially stops at 31:49. not the fastest, but enough for a rank
  21. well i've been working on this for a few weeks..... but only 2-3 days of it is i'm actually playing the game for a few hours. this is part 1. done with the spitfire mod. also. done on career mode. because why not? http://imgur.com/a/4LDpW
