  1. OK so! since I started playing .23, Returning for orbit/any celestial body ( I mean't landing on an atmospheric body ) will ALWAYS flip my craft upside down, no matter what! this means the top of the capsule will be facing the ground, this always happens and there is no mistakes in designs or 'yaw'ing by itself. I think this may be a bug, does this happen to you ?
  2. I had the same question, so I did some tests! what I found out is: SMALLER craft won't waste fuel if you are on 100% full throttle ( you can reach 12km without wasting fuel, if you know how to do it well. ) MEDIUM crafts wont waste fuel if you are on 100% ( you can reach 9-10 km without wasting fuel, then do the gravity GRADUALLY! ) LARGE CRAFTS wont waste fuel if you are on 100% ( you can reach 7-9 km without wasting fuel ) this means-> SMALLER CRAFTS make gravity turn's later ( higher Kilometers ) MEDIUM CRAFTS make gravity turn just in between. LARGE CRAFTS make gravity turn EARLIER SIDE NOTE*: I normally do a full throttle until I reach 150-200m/s INSIDE the lower atmosphere ( the darkest colour ) then throttle down to about 1 TWR, say my speed is 160m/s, I throttle down to a point where my speed won't decrease, but not increase too much! so that I won't waste fuel fighting the atmosphere. and this actually works.
  3. Oh! now it makes sense! thanks for help everyone, I finally understood that..! ( I was curios if it's a bug with my game, because in 0.17-0.21 I still could do that. )
  4. ok But even if I landed on the Mun, I am in space, I mean, the Mun doesn't have an atmosphere so I'm in space.. ? does that make any sense ?
  5. Ok, I've got KSP .23, I have progressed quite a bit in Tech tree ( reached the 300 Science requirements to unlock ) and I got the Temperature Instrument and I went to the Mun, While in ORBIT I clicked on it and clicked on ( show log or something like that ) it told me that it can't do that or 'scan' the tempreature, it only works if you land, so is this a glitch or am I doing something wrong? btw, really liking .23
  6. I agree with Richy, Gilly is the hardest place. I once tried to make a *base* on it, but It floats.. nvm... dat gravity kills you, If you accidently pressed WASD then it will begin ascending hahaha! Btw, I once Landed a kerbal on gilly from my station ( 45kmX30km orbit ), I EVA'ed him, kept thrusting retro-grade and landed straight on gilly, then took off and rendezvoused with it! on 2% left btw. it was really hard.. BUT! ITS REALLY FUN!
  7. Lol! you really made me 'live?' again! I'll see what I can do, and IF I did, I'll post pictures ! keep them comin' btw!
  8. So, I finished career mode and I literially ran out of any ideas! I went to almost every celestial body, I made a station around kerbin, In other words, what can I do to enjoy playing KSP AGAIN!!
  9. It depends, if laythe has a strong magnetic field and atmosphere then it may survive and be habitable, though it's really close to jool, the tidal forces will rip the surface apart and it'll make volcanos
  10. I had this problem, too! I landed on Dres with a rover ( Unmanned, but has seats) docked underneath, It had one small ( 1 x 6 ) Solar panel and 6 RTG's, so it had plenty of power, when I landed and un docked, the rover wasn't moving, it can only move the wheels left and right, even when jeb is controlling it, I re loaded my save, and what I did to fix this problem is open the solar panel BEFORE un docking then undock, and voila you have a functional rover! Also check these: 1. If rovers are broken ( not attatched to craft ) 2. It has power, or solar panels folded? 3. Maybe just an error? Try what I did then try it again!
  11. More planets! Resources! New parts that can be customized by players, mission requirements ( Like to do this mission you have to visit Duna..)! Also Satellites can send Data and Scan ( make a map ) for the celestial body and finally! DOCKING CAM!
  12. I took off from eve at 2xxx meters, i made a topic with a video too, i reached orbit, rendevouz with the LEOS ( Low eve orbiting station ) and in the way, I had to get off the seat and use his jet pack to get in, by this I mean: TAKE OFF above 2800 meters! It really profits you!
  13. Ha! I have no limits BUT.. I just can't for the life of me make a good VTOL that can also go horizontal without a single mod.. Though I fail so hard even with mods in this thing..
  14. I launched from eve to orbit once! But many failed accents! Maybe 3-5 times xD
  15. I agree! Well, believe it or not but i visit minmus more than any body in KSP, I mean, it has a good--flat surface, icy, mountains, low gravity.. But no anomalies around? Buhhh! It could have been 10x better, searching for anomalies is why I use rovers! Please SQUAD! Listen to us
  16. I love the craters, but not THAT much amount! I think they need to make a flat areas here and there, Especially for bases!
  17. Jool is the size of venus, to get a feeling of HOW would the game be if it's true scaled, imagine launching from jool, doing orbit.. Etc.. It's sooo HARD!
  18. Learn about phase angels, Delta v required to get there, parachutes ( put many ), F5 & F9. Last but not least, even with parchites do a powered landing!
  19. My very very first rocket was called : Kaboom! Well that explains.. pretty much everything *_* BUT in career, the first rocket is called KerminA1
  20. I have landed and orbited EVERY single body in KSP, and that's why I want new planets..
  21. Nice suggestion, but meanwhile use Lazor docking cam, or docking indicator, those are really useful mods, I myself use Lazor, it just feels awesome to dock with a cam, specially if you can reach and understand the numbers on the right side of it, you can get 100% perfect docking!
  22. Wow, nice work on this VTOL, I have never managed to get a VTOL to be stable, just fly around for 10 seconds and then crash, this seems stable enough, nice work, really nice work! VTOL's are kinda hard as balance and center of thrust are the players here.
  23. Actually, it looks really cool! but one thing I want to suggest to you, which is reducing the landing legs count, I don't think you need that much of landing legs. specially in .22, they have suspension and they get repaired if broken, also they kinda angle themselves to match the ground. nice design man!
