  1. That's not quite what I meant. The idea is that you can land on, say, Minmus much like you would land a plane on Kerbin; use the wings to kill your vertical velocity, then use your wheels to kill your horizontal velocity essentially for free. Trouble is, wings don't work on Minmus, so you've got to use engines or RCS thrusters. I'm saying it'd be very handy if your mod could automatically control descent speed while ignoring horizontal velocity.
  2. It'd also be great if we could use RCS to deal with vert vel too, for zero-altitude spaceplane landings on Minmus.
  3. Is it possible to add a radiator effect to B9 wings? It's awfully annoying to try to find spots for radiators on thermal spaceplanes...
  4. It'd be neat if FAR (or something else) changed the "recovery of a vessel after a flight" science bonus so that you get extra for "recovery of an aircraft after supersonic flight", and maybe some other flight conditions. Maybe have a new science category for every mach number?
  5. So are these stars in a high Kerbol orbit, or are they in fixed positions relative to Kerbol? The OP doesn't really say, and the only mention I found of it in the thread was near the beginning...
  6. I've noticed that having this mod made the connections a whole heck of a lot more brittle as well; is that normal behavior? I've been unable to get anything bigger than the stock Z-MAP kit into LKO with KJR installed; even with no payload, my launchers always snapped as soon as the gravity turn began. I also had some problems getting rockets to fly straight that seemed to dissipate after I uninstalled the mod, though I might put that down to being a little bit out of practice.
  7. Hey, I certainly absolutely don't mean to belittle or insult what you're doing here- quite the opposite in fact- but the sound the wheels make is... pretty awful. It sounds cool and science-fictiony, but having some experience with servo-powered wheels I can tell you they don't sound anything like that. They certainly shouldn't have that harmonizing effect you see towards the end of the video. I have a professional quality microphone and some old robots and parts lying around; I'll see if I can get you some better examples of what a rover would sound like.
  8. This has probably been asked a couple times before, but not in the last few pages. I'm running KSP at low resolution, and the fuel configurator gizmo goes off the bottom of the screen. Is there any way to move it? I noticed a screenshot up a ways had scroll bars in that window, how do you get those?
  9. I'm trying to get started modding KSP, but I'm a bit stuck. There doesn't seem to be any guide that covers the very basics; that is, how to compile the .DLLs so that they can be stuck in the modules directory, and where to find API documentation. Am I just being thick? Does anyone know where I can find this information?
