  1. " that multi-threading isn't in every case a simple panacea, here be dragons etc." I guess it should be read as "Multi-threading isn't a solution for every problem (panacea) and may even cause unforeseen problems (here be dragons)"
  2. My favorite conspiracy theory group is one that firmly believe that the Moon does not exist(!!!) -- Although they do acknowledge that Earth is indeed round. From what I remember, some of their beliefs are: 1. The Moon, in fact, does not exist. What exists is a highly technical man made hologram; 2. Past technology wasn't as good, that's why older pictures of the moon are blurry and not so well defined; 3. Any really old accounts of the Moon (like, from the middle ages) are actually misinterpretations of other light sources, like a distant lighthouse, or large bonfire or if high in the sky, a cloud reflecting bonfires or forest fires or something like that... 4. The moon landings were obviously faked and staged in order to thwart scientists and intellectuals from figuring out that the Moon doesn't exist 5. Tidal waves/high tides are solely caused by the oceans "sloshing" as the Earth spins (that's, however, partially true, but the moon does play a large part in it) However, they failed miserably to come up with a reason to WHY someone would want to fake the Moon
  3. A new place AND a new job? You're on a roll there, nice!! Congrats!!
  4. Hmm perhaps if you attempt to reset IE... Change or reset Internet Explorer settings 1 Close all Internet Explorer windows that are currently open. 2 Open the desktop, and then tap or click the Internet Explorer icon on the taskbar. Changing your settings will affect both Internet Explorer and Internet Explorer for the desktop. 3 Tap or click the Tools button Tools, and then tap or click Internet options. 4 Tap or Click the Advanced tab, and then tap or click Reset. 5 In the Reset Internet Explorer Settings dialog box, tap or click Reset. 6 When Internet Explorer finishes applying default settings, tap or click Close, and then tap or click OK. You'll need to restart your PC for these changes to take effect.
  5. Strange... try to check other accessibility options on Windows as well... The reason I am insisting on this is because as soon as I check the "Ignore colors specified on webpages" on IE, like I mentioned, the KSP forums looks exactly as your screenshot for me... Same color scheme, same fonts, same layout..
  6. Looks like someone have been messing with your Internet Explorer Go to "Internet Options" on IE, it should open a pop-up window... In the "General" tab, down below should have a "Accessibility" button, click on it.. By default, none of the checkboxes should be marked, but that specific problem you're having is caused by the "Ignore colors specified on webpages" option being turned on.
  7. Beetlejuice! Beetlejuice! Beetleju.... Desculpa, to indo embora...
  8. I try to avoid pronouns as well, but often go for "he/she" and the person can correct me if he/she () feels like it... Sometimes is easier to guess the gender based on their usernames, but mix-ups can happen, as Nertea would be keen to point out
  9. That's an excellent way of getting yourself in several "ignore" lists in anticipation of improper private messages
  10. As a fire suppression method, it looks very neat but.... the first thing that comes to my mind is "I don't wanna be the guy who has to clean all that up"
  11. Did some digging and looks like its an italian Vetterli-Vitali 1870/87 The "PP" in fancy letters (not actually PF) means "Parti Permutabili", or Interchangeable Parts. The "TERNI" (not actually Trent) means it was built in that italian city Aaand here's an old auction with some photos of a preserved one for comparison: http://www.gunauction.com/buy/11349599 Now, I'm no gun expert or anything, I just did some digging, so no use to ask me anything else about it
  12. I've never used it myself, but I *think* you can change the patched conics model on PreciseNode (I think I remember seeing a screenshot of this)... Changing the patched conics will draw the orbits in different ways... perhaps that's what you're seeing..
  13. Since I was the one who brought up Oculus Rift, let me clear it up Yeah, I understood you, its just that I then thought of Oculus Rift and imagined myself playing KSP with it
  14. Oooh, KSP with Oculus Rift and IVA piloting... now THAT's nice!!!
  15. Problem is, there are a lot of players who bought the game through KSP's website and not on Steam. Adopting the Workshop means that these players cannot access mods published there. Once more and more new modders publish their mods exclusively on Steam Workshop, the community gets fragmented
  16. In that file, the first thing that appears is "build id = " and a bunch of numbers.. If the first 5 numbers are "01024" then you need to redownload KSP
  17. It depends on several factors, like distance from the observer and angular distance (how "big" the structure is perceived to be)... For a structure orbiting as high as the ISS (altitude of 400km / 249 miles) to be perceived as the same size as the moon (angular diameter of roughly 0.50 degrees), it would have to be about 3500 meters / 11500 feet wide
  18. There's too much weight in the back, move those monoprop tanks and place them between the cockpit and cargo bay. Also, I don' t know what you're trying to build, but it looks like you have too much monoprop... two tanks are a bit overkill in my opinion... maybe perhaps you confused them with the Rocket Fuel tank?
  19. A few examples of mods that can use blizzy78's toolbar if present: RCSBuildAid SCANSat Infernal Robotics Chatterer Planetshine Trajectories DockingAlignment Smokescreen (used by Hotrockets and Real Plumes)
  20. Yup, I'm getting this often as well... I suspect some odd rogue MM patch somewhere botching things during load, but I have, so far, unable to identify it... I've attempted to reinstall the whole thing from scratch.. fresh KSP, fresh mods (making sure every one of them were up to date), but it doesn't matter, every now and then I get the same issue... Another issue I am having is that, sometimes during load, the load process will stop and get stuck on a random modpart that, previously, was working without a hitch.. Whenever this second issue happens, any changes in the GameData folder will "fix" the issue.. that includes INSTALLING more mods... While attempting to fix these issues (which may or may not be related to each other), I found something that's helping a lot: Deleting the PartDatabase.cfg from the main KSP folder. When one of the two issues appear to me, I delete that file and fire up the game again. KSP will then rebuild that file and load the game and any saves without issues.
  21. Interesting.. There's a known bug with Windows + OpenGL that causes everything in Tracking Station to be offset, leaving a black bar to the left... Your issue seems just like that, except the bar is colored, like a graphics artifact... http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/index.php?/topic/124830-bug-in-tracking-station-105/ I've heard (and experienced) that bug on Windows+OpenGL but am yet to see it on Linux (I've installed Linux Mint, to play KSP as well, only 3 days ago) Now, some of the solutions for Win+OpenGL is to doublecheck KSP is running on the same resolution than Windows.. I've noticed that your log says: Desktop is 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz And further down: requesting resize 1280 x 768 requesting fullscreen 1280 x 768 at 0 Hz Desktop is 1920 x 1080 @ 60 Hz Which hints that KSP is not running on your native resolution... is that deliberate? Can you check the resolution on the settings and, if needed, change it to 1920x1080? That may help... If that does not help, another solution for Win+OpenGL is to alt+tab the game whenever this glitch happens... when getting back to KSP, the glitch "should" be gone, but your mileage may vary...
  22. Vixe, nem pretendo haha Sou péssimo em fazer réplicas, essa ai foi mais na brincadeira mesmo... nem esperava que voasse (e até que voa bem! ...em linha reta! )
