  1. It is no different than any other platform out there. Ever. You're going to have the people that are never completely happy, and you're going to have the people that sit poised at their keyboards ready to leap to the developers defense when someone asks a question of them. Somewhere in the middle are the rest who just kind of go from day to day with the game, play it, hate it, play it some more, then find something wrong, then find something great, then read the forums, then say hi, then go over there....etc. Personally, I think I spent like 10 bucks on the damn thing years ago. I've certainly gotten my 10 or whatever bucks out of it since then. That said though....I do think there are some real concerns for people that have forked out over 30 bucks for a game that never really was, or will be 'done'. Yeah, I think that there are some legitimate concerns there and Squad should continue to address them. They sold it, they got the moola for it, and if they intend to stick around with it, then they should fix it up. Ethically speaking. They're free to do whatever they wish though. I don't miss my 10 bucks anymore.
  2. I just don't see multiplayer ever happening. Officially I mean. Third parties have, and will do, and I know it has always been listed as a goal of Squad....but I don't expect it. If I'm proven wrong, then I'll take it all back!!
  3. Well....a TRUE fan wouldn't have to download these. Again.....
  4. I can see your point, but....I think it's misplaced, and the statement that I've quoted here is not entirely accurate. I'm not sure that KSP was 'supposed' to be anything more than a goofy game with little green guys in big rockets going to funny named bodies in space. Yes, of course there was the interesting addition of some physics and a pseudo simulation aspect, but I think that our community here has taken it much further than even WE would have expected. Remember, there was a time when we just thought it was funny to build absurd rocket ships and laugh our butts off at the reactions of the little green guys when we launched it. The Modders are incredible talents and have truly added to the whole thing. I'm not convinced though that making it a merger of a flight simulator, construction/engineering game, manager and space exploration platform is really what the intent was. Maybe I'm wrong.
  5. Yeah. Can't remember when I started browsing the forums though.
  6. It really doesn't matter what we say, how we say it, or to whom we say it to. KSP was an excellent game, and we had a ton of fun over the years with updates, conversations, predictions, and fixing. Those times are very likely over though. The game is going out of the door now, and like every other title that ever does the same....(Come on guys and girls, how many titles can you really find that "did it differently than the other guys"), it will get some interest, maybe grab a bit of traction, and then it will be stuck into the digital shelf of 'To-be-played-later'. I'm sure I'll upset a few people with these thoughts, but I would challenge you to explore any other community out there, past and present, that has not witnessed almost the same path for their platform. You will have those like me, who have been involved in gaming for many years, and you will have those that are niche fans. You'll have those that are old and young, and God will you have those that spend their hours challenging anyone or everyone, line by line, that may just slightly criticize the developers or ideas of the 'Best-Game-Ever-Created'! I don't fault anyone in this. For what....$17 bucks??? I've had more fun than I deserve, and it's been a really fun game to experience and play. I fully support their desire, and aspirations to expand into other markets with it, and hope that it only makes them and the title even more popular. I hope they profit from it enough to purchase private jets for each member that ever typed a line of code. I don't begrudge success one bit! I just have many experiences I guess, with this sort of sequence of events, and then it's all over. Maybe they'll put it out, and start on something new.....
  7. I think that Mechjeb should be stock! It's probably more 'realistic' to use it, at least in the simulation aspect of the game. I'm not a NASA pilot, but I would imagine that NASA would love to have a MechJeb system on all of their equipment!
  8. Thank you, as always! Love the new look and can't believe I hit the lottery by finding this game by accident....years ago.
  9. It's just natural for this time of year. For the US side anyway. Tax return time, everyone's out and about, or getting the spring fever. A lot of people that do outdoors stuff in the spring are starting to get things together. Most Industry is pretty busy right now with the new quarter and real life is just occupying time.
  10. No way. It'll be ripped apart and destroyed by the reviewing class. I love it...but you know they will have ZERO tolerance.
  11. I think the best I've done is about 270 days (give or take). Using one of the 'Transfer Window Planers' will really help you, by giving some options. I use AluxMun's Launch Window Planner. It's pretty simple to understand, good easy interface and allows you many options as to when you want to leave, where you want to go, how many days you need...etc. You can basically buy Dv with days or the other way around....If that makes any sense. (It does to me but that doesn't say a lot). Basically, you should pack a few pair of underwear, some long pants and a good book...or three for the trip. It's a long one.
