It is a real threat. My grandfather was a pilot at one point in his life, and I recall him describing the shock he felt when a 13 year old blinded him with a laser. he stated that if it had happened during a landing procedure, then he probably would have crashed. -

At the risk of sounding like im stirring up political dissent, foreign sanctions will probably slow the development. I mean, very few nations in the international community would like Iran to have a launcher capable of sending a man into orbit, seems like it would be easy enough to convert into an ICBM launcher... -

Man is terribly paranoid, and I doubt he shall prevent some sort of kill switch from being placed around, or in, autonomous robots. This switch could be a limited EMP, a small explosive, etc. -
Well, in principle it could use some kind of dynamic identification; IE The computer watches as an individuals states a simple phrase, kind of like in Ender's Game
