  1. Love the game and hope to see it continue to grow. Here is what I would like to see added/changed in the future: 1. Adjusted physics for rovers. I know this might not be realistic but most of the time driving rovers sucks for me. They flip too easily, start moving sideways and are really hard to manage. Granted it might just be me but I have tried really big ones and really small ones and after a few minutes I usually end up leaving them in place and doing something else. Maybe a pair of idiot wheel that are less realistic for guys like me. This seems like it could be a very fun aspect of the game but I have been staying away due to rovers being so hard to control. 2. Teather lines. If I had a nickle for every time in a science mission I tried to EVA to grad a bit more points and then ended up falling off the ship and being lost in space I could buy a cup of coffee at Starbucks. 3. More to do. I understand the game is still being developed and science was a great add but here are a few of my suggestions for the future a. Planetary Missions - require you to establish some kind of base on the planet which includes habitat, radio and rover. Then you use the radio and a mission comes over for you to drive to some point and take a core sample or scan something or pick a plant. b. space missions - you get a radio call and some random ship is generated out in space that needs refueled or is running out of oxygen. c. Capture alien lifeforms - nuff said d. Auto-pilot feature for things you have done many times - Getting to orbit Kerbin was a big step for me but now that I have done it 100 times, it would be nice to see some auto-feature that would do it for me besides mechjeb. Maybe if I use the same ship to orbit 3 times it will enable an auto-orbit feature the next time. e. Rescue missions on Kerbin - Maybe you get a radio call at a forrest is on fire and you need to design some kind of vtol to carry water and put the fire out. Maybe you have explorers trapped in the arctic and the Kerbin gov needs you to get there fast before they freeze. 4. More parts - some of these mod packs like B9 and Novapunch have some awesome parts. I really like the big white shield covers that are from the anvil pack I think. Cant some of these make it into the stock game? 5. Make customization easier - Making custom flags is awesome but designing custom flight suits and colored parts would really take it to the next level. I know it can be done to an extent right now but it sure isnt easy. 6. More use of the radio and sounds. I am using the chatter mod and simply love it. Maybe weird alien music and sounds when you are on different planets. 7. More deployable parts - I love activating lights and solar panels and landing gear and radio antennas. Would love to see even more added so I am not spending as much time just staring at the screen and more time hitting buttons and doing things. 8. Sharable scenarios - Someone creates a scenario for beginners to reach a 100k orbit on Kerbin and then you can download it and it gives you some kind of achievement or something when you complete it. In other words, there is some way to verify someone did it and some way you can show others you did it. Can you imagine the scenarios that Scott Manley would make? Holy Mackeral!!!! Again, I'm not complaining. I'm just sharing some ideas I would love to see in the future. Thanks for a great game!
  2. Logan, Please put a link to those eagle craft files. I would love to try out that kethane eagle. Can you also list the mods needed to run that bad boy? I really appreciate it.
  3. I have a big rover on Duna. I landed it there on one mission and drove it to my base site on another mission. I parked it in an open area and set the brake. Now when I go to it or my base ship near it, the back end blows up after 2 or 3 seconds. Any way to stop this? Luckily I have a save so I have tried different things like loading it and switching off the brakes or just watching it from the base ship but it always explodes. Any way to prevent this?
  4. I never watched any videos, I just jumped in and kept experimenting. I eventually got a ship in orbit and pointed it at the Mun and hit full throttle. After about 20 minutes it didn't seem to be getting any closer. Shortly after that I ran out of fuel. Right after that I started to watch videos and almost spit out my drink when I saw you make orbital maneuvers and don't just head straight at a planet.
  5. Does it really take 12,000 delta-V to land or launch from Eve? Obviously you can use parachutes on the way down and reduce the needed Delta-V but does it really take 12,000 to launch into a low orbit from Eve? Anyone land and take off from Eve? If you have, how about a pic of your ship? Thanks
  6. I put a station in orbit around Minmus and I have a "kethane elevator" that I shuttle up and down to refuel the station. All my interplanetary ships stop there and top off before leaving the system.
  7. I would like a reason to go to the planets. Right now, once you land on a few and build a base and a space station, there is no reason to keep going. Resource mining, buildable habitats that need air and water to sustain the crew, science missions where you have to find a certain life form on the planet. Even better, have a planet or two where you could use genetic manipulation and guide a species to dominance like in spore.
  8. Col, I love the four way docking port you made. That was a great design.
  9. Robo, that is seriously a BA design. I love the rover/airship design. Seriously nice work mate.
  10. I do almost this exact same thing but I placed my station in Minmus orbit and I refuel ships leaving the kerbal system. I did not want to haul kethane from Minmus to Kerbin and all my ships can get to Minmus pretty easily. My station is pictured in the show your station thread in the ship exchange forum. It is on page 72 of that thread.
  11. This is my utility rover. I use it to transfer fuel, mine kethane and general roughhousing.
  12. OK, this is my second one and I use it as a departure point for all my interplanetary travels. Introducing the Minmus Departure Station...
  13. I have a big space station setup in Minmus orbit that all my interstellar ships dock with before departing out into the deep black. I think having a deep space command center adds a bit more adventure to the game.
  14. While it may not be the most efficient route, having my interstellar ships stop at "MoonBase-Minmus-1" before heading out into the deep black is awfully cool.
  15. I am trying to visit the anomalies on Kerbin but driving there is taking way way too long. I decided to fly but I cant figure out the coordinates. An example is, one of the anomalies is listed on the map website at 35.5705:-74.9773 but when I look at the coordinates on the surface information tab of mechjeb, it shows me 6 two-digit numbers. I tried using the "land at" tab in mechjeb and putting in 35.57.05 -74.97.73 but it started heading out to the ocean and not in the direction of the place I wanted to go. Did I convert that number on the anomalies website correctly?
  16. That assumes I have already been there. I want to land Jeb on the Mun and head out in a rover to see them for the first time. I would love a waypoint but if I have to I can use the coordinates.
  17. Is there any way to make waypoints on planets and moons? I want to start working on a mission to send Jeb to all the points of interest on each world and I can not seem to figure out how to set a waypoint.
  18. So I cant just aim at the Mun, turn it on, go eat a sandwich and then come back to find a fully functional rover ready for playtime. Doh!
  19. I noticed in the debug menu there is an option to turn off crash damage. I designed a large rover that I simply can not land safely. If I turn on the cheatcode and then drop my rover at 10k ft, will it blow up or will it be unbreakable?
  20. You are a better man than I am because after numerous attempts and hours wasted, I have resorted to mechjeb.
  21. When I see screenings like your it makes me realize just how much I suck at this game. Lol
  22. I had two issues, I could not control the rover after undocking and I could not reattach it. After I undocked, the issue was I had to go to the space center to switch control to the rover. After that, just pulling away and coming back solved my docking issue, thanks Sal! Thanks for all the help that was offered. You guys are the best gaming community I have ever discovered.
  23. Thank you all so much! Zeblote hit the nail on the head. I tried it again, lost control when I decoupled and then went to the space center and there it was. I drove it a bit and then was able to redock it. You all solved both my issues. I love this community, you guys are the most helpful I have ever run into and you have my sincere thanks. Here is a pic of my rover. Its not much but I hope to use it and explore the Mun and Minmus.
