if you use zoom a 300m its very possible to hit but 140 allows people to snipe right down the back end of an engine compartment with no problem. Te point for me is to avoid the whoever goes first wins scenario. 300m allows you to still hit the ship just fine.

ya i forgot that people like to practicaly get up right next to you to fire. I should start requesting a minimum range of of 300m. 40m is a bit cheap. Not that you are cheating or that you are breaking the rules its just a sence or realism for my. you are in no way at fault.

Burning down to a planet is very possible if gravity is canceled out or if you burn fast enough, in fact it would tactically be the best way to go so that the smaller ships would have to fight orbital inertia to keep up and maneuver, and space stations can often change orientation to suit their needs. Also compared to every other cifi movie it was more space mined than most. Star Trek is all wrong, especially the new one, Star wars is even less grounded in reality, and even my favorite Babylon 5 ends up being less than correct. The omega class destroyer has a large spinning centrifuge in the center to simulate gravity but by spinning it would cause the ship to list to one side and they don't. All in all I think that it was planned out better than most. Wish we didn't have to go in order of smallest to largest. I have yet to use some of the larger ships in my fleet cause they are the first to be targeted. lol

I saw the second core i however was unable to attack it with the rest of my missiles because it kept crashing. I also didn't know if the secondary core was allowed. Language changes with a matter of decades, slang is created poisoning speech and writ, and spell-check does not help because it has made many of us indifferent to re reading what we write. So not all but man English professors view themselves as the stalwart defenders of words and context. Every infraction and bad habit to be nipped in the bud and destroyed to defend against an unstoppable enemy. Math teachers on the other hand or at least man of the ones I had interviewed (125 in total across 21 universities) tend to be more laid back. Math defends its self. Opinion does not change it, time does not weigh it down, and the mixing of culture does not warp it. Nothing to preserve, then there is nothing to defend. I grew dyslexic and took most of my time in grade school teaching my self how to overcome a very annoying disability. What made matters worse is I had a second grade teacher that would punish me severely for being unable to read the board allowed. We found out i needed glasses and I began to correct the problem through hard work and reading a lot. My spelling still suffer though especially when dealing with homophones. Marley a product of being taught in school to simply sound out a word in order to spell it rather than visualize the word as an object. My point is if I make spelling mistakes this is why. I am far from perfect.

Hey Bright I think the files you sent me might have some problem because every time i kill your swordfish with a missile and then try to focus on anything near it the game crashes. I tried restarting the game, my computer, even tried setting up again. Once i get near the ship the command pod comes off and the game crashes. My PC can usualy handle like 2000 parts without a problem and your ship is only 430 or so. I'm not quite sure whats going on but if you want to reset or just not select it let me know. Here are the screens. Moved my Strike force into position over Ike at 800km Red I, Red II, a corvette, and a missile destroyer. Red I Moved into position. Fired two missiles, one direct hit to the command section only superficial damage (the back cone came off), the second strike took out the command center separating it from the rest of the ship and leaving the craft dead in the water. (your jeb's ok though) Then the craft flew back into a wide orbit over Ike Here is the Persist file I don't know if you can view the ship its self but every time i try it crashes. If you want you can remove it from the game to avoid crashing if it causes problems. Your go.

Ok just got home i am looking at the battle now. Just saw Ender's Game witch was AMAZING! Probably one of the best movies of the year for me. I was such a big fan of the book and they did just what they should have. If you have not seen it or read the book go get a copy and then see the movie.

I love that you put up this discussion, and i think that the issue is very relevant. Female Kerbals is in my opinion a very productive addition to the game not in a sexual way but in the sense that women in space in the real world was a social milestone that helped bridge the gender game. Simply avoiding the subject because of possible political correctness issues would be a weakness on the games part. Women exist I have seen them. So to should kerbal women, not to be fair, or appease anyone but simply because it will hmanise them a bit more. That said they should be in no way overly sexualised or less effective than male kerbals. Simply they should just be.

Also for 0.0.2 we will be doing a role call so have your name, company name, and a link to your company thread. Please note that this area does not necessarily represent where your company is in the Kerbal universe it is simply a way for people to see your link and go to your page when they click and you are mearly a player in the game. Just as a reminder do not refer to your company as we but refer to yourself as the player to comply with the no roll play rule. So far that has not been a big deal but reminders are there to prevent it from becoming so.

Just a reminder Max hexes till 0.0.2 is 7. Zekes i'll add this after the update.

Just so that people don't waist their time all space missions such as landing on planets with rovers or manned missions or stationary probes will officially begin in 0.0.2 because there are some guidelines for players that will give everyone a chance to do them so as of 0.0.2 SPACE missions will be reset including mine. Also the type of missions and ships will be noted in the upcoming rules to allow for better clarification.
