  1. If you know how, feel free to. Even with the Kerbal X project, which got pretty popular, they have yet to provide a comment either way. Squad was aware of the existence of that project, and I presume they're aware of this one already as well thanks to reddit/Twitter. If they're unable to do it, hopefully they speak up at some point.
  2. Luckily you can do something similar. It uses the same technique that LEGO uses to put removable roofs on their buildings, the connection between stages is weaker than the rest of the rocket, so it comes apart pretty easily where the decouplers are.
  3. I think I'm going to add some extra modular parts. Not perfect, but at least it allows for some customization. There isn't any such elephant in the room. Squad doesn't have to approve anything until the project reaches the supporter threshold, right now it's just an idea.
  4. https://ideas.lego.com/projects/135315 LEGO Ideas is a platform where users can vote for LEGO sets they would like to see, which are then considered for production after 10,000 supporters. Some of you may remember a Kerbal X project on the same site, which unfortunately expired before we could get enough support. However, that was almost a year ago, and KSP has grown. I think it's time to try again. So please follow the link above and lend your support! And if you really want to see it happen, please consider telling your fellow KSP fanatics about it as well. Every support counts!
  5. I'm not too concerned about getting sued. The title probably won't mention LEGO anyway, I don't think that there's much to fear. The intention right now is to replace all stock parts using MM, essentially re-styling the entire game (or, at least the parts). If I do need help on anything, I'll be sure to let you know, thanks!
  6. Alright, that sounds great! I'll message the models to you as soon as I get the first batch done (which will probably just be most of what is pictures in the OP, with a few differences).
  7. Thanks for the replies! Looks like Module Manager is definitely the way to go. As of right now the models have yet to be run through Unity, but after watching a tutorial or two it doesn't look too far beyond my skill set. I should be able to get that done with a little time. If you're willing to help with the rest, that would be great! Also, something I forgot to mention, one of the main reasons I'm trying to accomplish this now is to promote the LEGO Kerbal X project linked in my signature. The project only has 100 days remaining, so I would love to get a release going ASAP. Do you have an estimate on how long the Module Manager stuff will take, just so I know what to plan for?
  8. I'm looking to create a mod that adds LEGO versions of some of the stock parts. While I can easily make the models, I have very little experience modding the game and failed miserably last I tried. I'm looking for somebody who would be willing to add the models/textures I provide to the game, and I can of course help out in whatever way possible. Here's an example of some of the models. I'd hope to start out small, the first few steps on the tech tree perhaps, and continue from there if we get that far.
  9. I definitely disagree. Sign in process or not, we've already almost gotten 1,500 supports in just a month or two. With the right advertising it's completely doable. Plenty of other franchises have done it, I don't see why KSP wouldn't be able to.
  10. Well I'm glad you had fun anyway! We'll make it there eventually, I still have a few tricks up my sleeve when we're in need of a supporter boost. Thank you very much!
  11. These are great! I'm sure that they'll be very useful while building space stations and bases.
  12. I would also love to see actual minifigure versions, but I would much prefer they actually be done justice, and that's just not possible with the current molds (at least, not in a way that passes the design guidelines necessary to be used in an actual set). Plus, the Kerbal X would have to be a whole lot bigger to fit them. Fear not though, if this does get turned into a real set, and that set is successful, it will spawn more KSP sets. And just like what happened with Minecraft, minifigure scale using new molds will then be a possibility. Also, for those that want to help advertise, here's a signature for your to use! 13. Wow, I don't check this for a few days and this is what happens. Thank you so much! I was wondering where that extra burst of supports was coming from. Trust me, the only way to make regular minifigure Kerbals look remotely decent is with new molds, which is not a possibility with Ideas sets. Here's a link to the pictures if you want a copy yourself and don't want to steal the pictures in the spoiler: Dropbox Too bad so sad... That looks great! Shame your printer ran out of ink, but thank you for trying anyway! I can definitely put your image to good use, so at least we have that! I actually have a high-quality render of just the lander that I can add to it if you don't mind. And in case I'm gone for a small period of time like what happened just now, ff you ever have an opportunity to advertise in the future feel more than welcome to do so, I'm not one to get caught up in permissions and all that stuff. Thanks so much for your efforts! One project does not effect the results of another, both the Hornet and this Kerbal X could be chosen as sets even if they achieve 10,000 supporters during the same review period. Once again, thanks for all of the support! Does anyone have any ideas on other places to advertise?
