Looking realistic in KSP
SaturnV replied to Rdivine's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
Most RTGs IRL last 10 years or more. 10 years is longer than most trips in Kerbol system, I think making it an infinite power source is not a big problem but a reasonable simplification. -

I‘m not good at aerodynamic, but I never saw any plane fly in fire at mach 2~3, only in KSP -

HarvestR said the new drag system will make streamlined designs fly easier than non streamlined ones, then I tested it. How the tests were performed: 1. Load and launch the rocket 2. Turn on SAS, full throttle, press space 3. Switch to map view, click on the AP label, observe the maximum altitude it reached before ran out of fuel. (The number will decrease after that, due to the air drag) Ships used in the tests: Very Flat / Flat / Pointy / Very Pointy * By adjusting mono fuel and adding/removing parts in the service bay, all ships are now exact 20,000 kg, all of them have 1,553 m/s delta V. * They're all the same except the amount of mono fuel, the content of service bay and their nose. Result: Very flat: 10,000 m Flat: 55,000 m Pointy: 45,000 m Very pointy: 58,000 m You can test it yourself (craft file): http://1drv.ms/1KxxOd3

Cool, now wheels are not the only thing that has mass on my tiny rover. Sounds much more reasonable.

That stupid ‘oof‘ sound, man... I feel that KSP is incomplete without it now.
-
Absolutely correct. Camera shake, sound enhancement, new particle effects, many of the new features are made for better explosions.

Kerbals are the kind that need many of them evaporated before they noticed that the Kerbol is hot. -

It's not possible to stage off anything in the start of 0.9 too. We use the Overheat-Stagingâ„¢ in those days. -
Great, I know Squad will do a quick patch for those silly bugs, but not this soon! We haven't found all the bugs yet...

From your data and analysis, I take it “ore is a good alternative for large toys“ rather than “overpowered“?
-
Why not? Forget whatever you‘re focus on, add more boosters and jump in the hyper train!
-
THANK YOU...and add MOAR boosters!

2. I guess you missed the devnote few weeks ago? IIRC HarvesteR said the new tech tree system no longer modify any cfg of part, it was configurable through a separated cfg file.
-
Everyone would love this. I can't find a reason that someone reject this
