Switch focus back to craft
jlcarneiro replied to XLjedi's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Sorry to dig this up... Has the Cycle Focus, Reverse Cycle Focus and Reset Focus been changed lately? Tab Cycle focus in orbital map 0.11.0 Shift + Tab Reverse cycle focus in orbital map 0.11.0? Backspace Reset focus in orbital map 0.17.0 Couldn't find them in settings.cfg either... -
Thanks, but I looked for it in Squad part files (MK16, MK16-XL, etc.) but didn't find anything like it... Thanks, man! Unfortunately, I tried it but it didn't work... @PART[*]:HAS[@MODULE[ModuleParachute]]:FINAL { @MODULE[ModuleParachute] { @minAirPressureToOpen = 0.5 // this one worked :) @spreadAngle = 10 // this one didn't... :( } } Any ideas?

Hello, I'm back "after a long winter" and got surprised by 1.9! I'm currently in the process of updating all mods and wonder, has Squad changed KSPedia? Both Delta-V maps and Planet Wiki don't show up, even after updated...

Excerpt from the post source (below): "Manser and his team calculated that the planetesimal — which orbits close to the white dwarf every two hours — must be unusually dense and no larger than 600 kilometres in diameter, in order to avoid being ripped apart by the star’s gravitational forces." https://medium.com/predict/small-dense-planet-observed-orbiting-white-dwarf-star-dedd9d5e9088 The only difference is Kerbol is not a white dwarf... :-P

I've a few months away, but try this site: https://www.kerbaltek.com/ribbons

Thanks again for your kind answer, @Harry Rhodan! Believe it or not, I forgot about that topic (Wow, maybe this means I've been away for quite some time now!), but reading all its answers along with your new answer, helped me a lot! I'll check https://www.notebookcheck.net/ but I'm not very confident, I will buy my new notebook (unfortunately, it cannot be a desktop) here in Brazil and these international sites don't usually contemplate brazilian equipment. Anyway checking it will help somehow. What you said about Skylines startled me, I didn't think it's so demanding! But my main concern from now on will be heat dissipation. What was the size of the city you played on GTX 1050 TI? Did you use any eye-candy mods?

Hello, guys! I've been absent for a while now, partly due of real life, partly due to overheating notebook... If I can manage to buy a notebook, can you help me identify what specs should I look for? I currently have a Core i5 3337U (3rd gen) with 6GB RAM and a GeForce GT 730M with 2GB VRAM. My KSP install (1.5.1) has quite a few mods (seen here) and, since I haven't gone beyond Kerbin SOI, I haven't yet built extremely large ships. But my notebook's (a Dell) fan gets crazy: according to the Psensor (I use Ubuntu), temperature gets up to 80 Celsius. Oh, I also like to play Cities Skylines (all major DLCs and less than 10 mods) and Crusader Kings II (with no mods)... What notebook setup do you suggest? I mean: should I go for an i7 this time or an i5 would suffice (sorry, I'm quite on a budget)? what generation, is it worth it to pay more for an 8th Gen or a 7th would do? on the graphics card, should I go for a GeForce GTX 1050 or a GeForce 150MX? What about a GeForce 130MX? I know RAM should be the maximum one can afford, but is 16GB enough? Now, some candidates I can buy here in Brazil to give you (and me) an idea: Acer Predator Helios 300 G3-572-75L9 - around 1700 USD Intel Core i7-7700HQ 7th gen, RAM 16GB DDR4 2400MHz, Nvidia GeForce GTX 1060 6GB gDDR5 Samsung Gamer Odyssey - around 1100 USD Intel Core i5 7300HQ 7th gen, RAM 8GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 4GB gDDR5 Lenovo 330 81FE0001BR - around 850 USD Intel Core i5-8250U 8th gen, RAM 8 GB DDR4, Nvidia GeForce MX150 2 GB GDDR5 Acer Aspire 5 – A515-51G-C97B (a bit hard to find) - around 770 USD Intel Core i5-8250U 8th gen, RAM 8 GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce MX130 2 GB GDDR5 Acer Aspire A515-51G-58VH - around 720 USD Intel Core i5-7200U 7th gen, RAM 8 GB DDR4, NVIDIA GeForce 940MX 2 GB GDDR5 Moderators, sorry if I posted this in the wrong section, please, feel free to move it...

I've already asked myself the same question...

Hey, @Drew Kerman! I don't know where I got them, but those heads look like the ones I use for Bob, Bill and Jeb (respectively)! But I don't have Val's head... Can I get those heads (and suits if possible)? Pleeease?

[1.12.x] IndicatorLights v1.8.3: Small, convenient, informative.
jlcarneiro replied to Snark's topic in KSP1 Mod Releases
Many times the "simplest" idea is the most useful one! -
Thanks, once again for the "mother of almost every mod"! With version 3.1.1, I've found out I have 3 errors and 4 warnings in my MM patches (7000+). How do I identify each error and warning? I assume they are in KSP log. But how do I find them? And the log entry shows the excerpt I have to fix (or at least the line)?

Yes, yes, I know, thanks! I did that in the beginning (to keep the improved kerbanauts) but I had some kind of problem (don't really remember what) and stopped doing it...

New computer specs for KSP
jlcarneiro replied to jlcarneiro's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Unfortunately, I don't see much reviews or comparisons dealing on heat management... What I have at this point is the reliability of the brands (my current notebook is a Dell and the new candidates are Samsung and Acer)... -
How Much Time Have You Spent Playing KSP?
jlcarneiro replied to SelectHalfling0's topic in KSP1 Discussion
On Steam I have almost 1000 hours logged. But, since I start directly from the executableto save resources on my quasi-potato, I have no idea of the real time spent... Although I have so many hours, I've never gone very far from KSOI (only a fly-by of Eve and Duna), due to littlw free time and the habit of restarting career with every new version... -
I don't have much time to play and, due to restarting every new version, never got much away from Kerbin SOI. But everytime I can, I design a lander with a lighter ascending vehicle...

New computer specs for KSP
jlcarneiro replied to jlcarneiro's topic in KSP1 Technical Support (PC, modded installs)
Thanks, @Harry Rhodan (I see what you did on the username!)! Since the clock is so important and my current CPU (i5 3337U) has 2.7GHz, is it possible that a new CPU, albeit more advanced, would be only marginally better?
