  1. The mods I use for shuttle construction is Farram, B9, Kerbal Joint Reinforcement and Shuttle Engines parts pack.
  2. Thank you Vexx32, I couldn't agree with you more. There really is no point to this thread. I noticed this thread yesterday and was quite frankly astonished how far this actually got today. Even though as I post this, it gets placed to the top of the forums list.
  3. As lyndonguitar said; Wonky stuff happens with time acceleration. I once shot a probe straight up to the skirts of Minmus before running out of fuel. When I time accelerated to speed up the impact I actually did a complete orbit of Kerbin ??????? I went straight through the center of Kerbin and back out???????
  4. Created my first shuttle, too bad I landed it in the ocean
  5. I would have to agree with helaeon on his point of view completely. He/She nailed it right on the head. Even for myself, I am seriously considering going back to college for Aerospace Engineering. I am currently almost 30 and in the Information Technology field. I’ve always had a passion for wanting to build rockets and general space flight however; I’m finding that passion was repressed due to life’s challenges and negative individuals. Now that I am older and wiser, I’m finding I would really like to pursue this. Best of luck, I really hope you get in
  6. I actually do all my calculations with pencil, paper, and calculator.
  7. What are these drogue parachutes you speak of? All of my Kerbal's love hurtling towards Kerban at 150 m/s, they admire those impact craters. Joke aside, I generally deploy the parachutes when I'm in the last 1/3 - 1/4 of the atmosphere for everything.
  8. I saw this one day not sure who posted it but, a player’s wife asked him to come to bed and his reply was “I do not have the required Delta V for that maneuver.†When you're on a Boeing 737-300 and thinking about asking the Flight Attendants "What is the specific impulse of the engines, the total mass, and the dry mass because I want to blast this thing into space!" errr....... maybe not the best question to ask anymore When you’re on the same flight and you start talking about the aircraft’s design and SSTO’s with a really cute girl next to you that has no clue what you are talking about. When you’re almost 30 and pondering quite seriously to go back to college and change careers to Aerospace Engineering. All these are sadly true with me.
  9. I don't know which I'm more excited for: KSP .23 or shipment of a book "Orbital Mechanics for Engineering Students"
  10. Botched a standard orbital mission to Mun. It has now turned into a rescue mission.
