  1. Well, first you're going to have to come up with an answer to the question of why all of these undesirables are getting a free ticket off-world. Lifting even a single kilogram into orbit costs a lot of funds; a firing squad is much cheaper, and other methods cheaper still.
  2. Nah, it's that the ascent stage is too small. This is known.
  3. Would making the MEM larger help with any of these issues? 'Cause I've thought since this DLC went live, and finally came here to post (and see if anyone else had), that it's just plain out of scale next to the CSM.
  4. *downloads beta package, starts looking through the parts* "Astrogation Module?" *click* "Meh... it's a bit 'much'. Probably just stick with a regular cupola [for my next spaceship bridge], or maybe an observation module and forward docking port for hard docks." *idly grabs one, fills it with kerbals, puts it on the launch pad and checks the IVA* "oh my god i need it"
  5. Stockalike Station Parts has not been, presumably due to your stated intent to deprecate it. I just downloaded it today, and don't see a way to update the included version .2.0 of this package to .2.1. Should I just disable MiniAVC? EDIT: Can confirm that works, as does installing the beta build of the successor mod.
  6. Fine chapter, and a heck of a sacrifice from the Pioneer 7 crew for "the needs of the many". One does wonder what they might hear if they did turn their antennae toward Zyrix, though...
  7. At least one great line came out of the (original) episode, though. Starbuck has the opportunity to ask a Cylon what their goal is, other than the whole kill-all-humans thing. "Cy" explains that they intend to "organize" the universe. Starbuck asks the logical next question, "And then what?" (after they get it all "organized"). "... NO ONE HAS EVER ASKED THAT QUESTION." So much for "and they have a plan."
  8. Zosma: I'd suggest attaching a small booster to one docking port and very gently and carefully nudging it up to true keostationary altitude.
  9. I've always taken after my mother a lot. On the one hand, it meant I could always find a sympathetic ear; on the other, I'd often come to her with a problem and have her nod and say, "Yup, that's a tough one. If you ever figure out a solution, let me know."
  10. *kettle drums* "Jeb Kerman, kerbonaut. A kerb barely alive." *wireframe diagrams and specs for MechJeb* "Gentlekerbs, we can rebuild him. We have the technology."
  11. "That's it, we're drawing the meridian right here. That side is your side, this side is our side."
  12. "Sir, it's quite possible that this asteroid is not entirely stable." "'Not entirely stable'? I'm glad you're here to tell us these things!"
  13. It's almost like you're playing around with mysterious, barely-understood forces of nature here... who could have imagined?
  14. ... if that last line has not already appeared in Plan Kappa, it must be in the next chapter.
  15. There was a thread. I don't recall exactly where at the moment, nor have the link - sorry.
  16. Having an accurate delta-V readout is not a "build my rocket" button or a cheat or any other sort of goosery. It's basic information, like the part count or the velocity readout or the altimeter. Do you use maneuver nodes, rather than plotting all your burns by hand/with protractor and slide rule? I mean, if you think that the game shouldn't give delta-V figures, it should be consistent and not tell you how much the burn is going to take, either. Figure it out yourself! How about orbital plots? I remember when the game didn't provide those, because they hadn't been coded yet. Would you like to go back to that?
  17. Seen on tumblr, here: Readers: We'd really like an update. Writers: Yeah me too.
