Complex.... Hmm..... Probably Kerbal Space Program lol. Orbital mechanics, rendezvousing, etc.

6/10 I see you commonly

Yeah, FINALLY a KSP Multiplayer mod. Unfortunately it's in alpha so it is extreeeeeeeemely buggy.

My proudest achievement was the first time I landed on Pol. Pol is my favorite moon of all the moons in KSP, even over Laythe.

The KSP Birthday Game (WIP, Need ideas)
LtHeckard replied to Annoyingorbits's topic in KSP Fan Works
Crap, I guess i'm going on a 6 month tour to Eeloo. -
My first Aerobrake was on Jool. I was coming in about 9,000 m/s so I decided to attempt my first aerobrake, truth is, it worked out quite well. What planet was your first aerobrake on?

Find one with the center of lift being inside of the center of mass. How would you describe Kerbin?

Welcome fellow Kerbonaut! I'm happy that you enjoy your KSP copy! Now you aren't restrained to only the Mun anymore, You have an entire Kerbolar system to explore! Aim for the stars my friend!

Tips for orbital rendezvous?
LtHeckard replied to SergeantBlueforce's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
An orbital rendezvous is not an easy, it is rather difficult, but I'll try to explain it to you. If the object you are trying to rendezvous with if it is in front of you, contract your orbit so you can swing under it. if the object is behind you expand your orbit. If the object is behind you, you must expand your orbit so the object will swing under you. Anyways, once you have caught up to the space craft, (assuming you have set it as target) there will be "target speed" on your Nav Ball. You want to burn retrograde aka the circle with the X in it, you want to burn until the target speed is 0.0 m/s or close to it. once you have done that, you can burn directly to your target. Do not burn too much you'll overshoot your target, you will want to burn very gently until the encounter is about 0.2 Km. after that, you will want to make sure you don't leave the target, so you can make corrections in your orbit to ensure that the object won't escape from you. once you have stabilized your orbit, your target is in front of you, you will want to gently sail in using your RCS unit using IJKLHN. In case you didn't know, IJKLHN keys control your RCS thrusters. H thrust your spacecraft forward, N will thrust backwards. IJKL will push you up down left and right. After you get up close to your target, carefully, and approach the docking node you may want to save at this point, it may take more than 1 try. once you finally get to the docking node, the two docking ports will magnetically attach. Once you've done that, your done! -
That's so beautiful man!

0.23 should focus on performance
LtHeckard replied to Overlord's topic in KSP1 Suggestions & Development Discussion
I don't know why, but when I am in LKO, or Kerbin atmosphere entry, , my frames drop supremely. I can maintain about 40 FPS in space, but when my space craft gets too close or enters the atmosphere, my frames drop to about 15 FPS. I would like that to be fixed. -
My favorite Kerbal has to be Jebediah.

Best wheels for Mun rovering?
LtHeckard replied to antiquark's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
The "Balloon Tires" will work just fine. You might even attach some fuel tanks on the sides to weigh it down so it won't flip over. if you attach fuel tanks, maybe you can attach small thrusters in the event of you needing to get somewhere faster or simply cushioning your fall. -
If NASA had more funding...

Why not land a penetrator probe on Mercury? -
Why are so many people opposed to nuclear energy?
LtHeckard replied to Skyler4856's topic in Science & Spaceflight
My guess is that the Green Peace gurus are complaining about Nuclear propulsion. Even if it's clean, efficient and safe, the word NUCLEAR is so scary to them! So they start complaining and they start demanding regulations. -
What are Rockomax 48-7S good for? (Picture)

I use these for Probe engines. they pack a large punch and they certainly give you a nice push! -
How do i get to the Mun?
LtHeckard replied to Essence of Adventure's topic in KSP1 Gameplay Questions and Tutorials
Mun is fairly simple. All you have to do is to fire your rockets when the Mun is on the Horizon (Assuming you have achieved Kerbin orbit.). Your orbital ring will expand out to the Mun and you will get an encounter. After that, you'll approach the Periapsis of the Mun (Lowest point of orbit) And you will burn backwards to kill your velocity and you will make Munar Orbit. You're Done! Although, Landing on the Mun is an entirely different challenge. -
There is always plenty to do in the Joolian system. If you have the Probodobodyne GRAVIOLI DETECTOR you'll be racking up some serious science.

Jebediah died when I was doing science above Kerbin; not enough fuel to get into orbit. I splashed down into Kerbin's oceans. He died with a smile on his face. :'(

Boom boom bang boom boom boom bang! What does the Kerman say!
