  1. Colour and contrast in fonts is very subjective. If anything can be done, I'd hope for a colour picker and font size scaler.
  2. Github shows only source code, not GameData zip offered?
  3. @Snark Give yourself 36, if you'd like; it's the weekend!
  4. And here I've been turning off RCS during rolls and pitch maneuvers like a chump! (Is that config file sharable?) Obligatory on-topic comment: this month, I found "Tab" cycles through celestial objects in the map view. Every time I discover a key doing something interesting, I go back to the http://wiki.kerbalspaceprogram.com/wiki/Key_bindings reference and, yup, I should have remembered that it but in-game discovery seems to always supersede "I read it back in 0.24 days" or whatever. 8)
  5. Mod-free sandboxing with the latest build and tried to set up a KeoSat network using the built-in Mark I Eyeball. Figured it was worth building a beauty shot and saving it here for posterity.
  6. Build 1523. A new tool bar button is generated each time I switch ships. After switching back and forth a few times to confirm the circumstances of this, I had four: At each switch, only the lowest (freshest?) toolbar button worked; the rest did nothing.
  7. Here's hoping this helps me drop a node on the current path when the current cursor-driven method wants it on the projected path next to it!
  8. Trolled through my backups and discovered my first version was 0.18 My first (recoverable) OS screenshot was September 15 2013: My first in-game screenshot was September 29 2013: My first captures were made using MacOS's Cmd-Shift-4 to grab them so they'd be tougher to track down (but not impossible). It was such a reflex to hit those three keys that it superceded the KSP memory that Shift was bound to thrust. Things went ugly a few times but then I started to shutdown the engines to allow that Cmd-Shift-4 to take place. Then I discovered F1. Then all the F-keys: F2. F5! F9!!!
  9. My second ever bug report! Whee?
  10. Ooo! Ooo! Can tooltips be added to the Graphics settings, too? KPLSTHXBYE
  11. Another +1 for Brakes. To be more in-game plausable, maybe 'b' activates the EVA's stability brake, without extending the arm controls, and attempts to halt relative motion on the surface (which is detectable) and upright the user? It then has a cost in terms of fuel.
  12. Add my voice to those excited about this release and excited to start a whole new career save again.
  13. Instead of planting a flag at KSC for early descent trajectory planning, I'm think I'm going to like having a higher-vis waypoint there instead.
  14. My biggest distraction from KSP lately has been Red Dead Redemption: just finished a second time through, and first time making it 100%. It's still a beautiful game. Starting on the Undead Nightmare now.
  15. How about if ( ! BestAnswer ) then floatTop( thisThread(MostLikedPost) ); EDIT: Due to my ultra wide window, I have just noticed those types of threads have a Sort By Votes toggle so this feature may be a moo point.
  16. My selections for new players would all be functional ones: Kerbal Engineer Redux (valuable data about your ship and its position), Kerbal Alarm Clock (don't miss an intercept ever again), SCAN Sat (for tracking valuable biome science). They've each been mentioned above but not in this combination. Good luck!
  17. Something sounds off: the suicide burn altitude should never be 0 if have a suborbital trajectory. On descent, it should display the minimum altitude to perform a 100% burn and survive (for safety, I tend to burn 100m above this value until I slow to about 10m/s then come in with more control). Haven't seen it do this yet on any ships I've build (though none are "super weird" ) Hopefully, not a serious bug.
  18. 8/10 Take charge title but points lost due to safety conflict with username.
  19. My usual Kerbin deorbit burn is from 70km, targeting KCS, and I begin the burn when I am at zero degrees elevation to where I want to land (ie, when an observer on the surface at KCS would see my vessel rise over the horizon). I continue to burn until the descent path reaches out to a point just past the island east of KSC (I actually use the mod Trajectories to get a more accurate targeting on top of KSC to get 100% cash back from the StageRecovery mod). This usually ensures a close splash-down to KSC.
  20. Possible issue: when typing in a text entry window, click-through happens. I found the focus changed when naming a flag. Reproducible.
  21. Another career save. Another completed tech tree within Kerbin SOI. Well, completed as much as I ever do...
  22. ...write a mod to rescale Monoliths?
  23. I agree entirely. There's a market that wants a truck look and perhaps minimal hauling but don't care about 4 cylinder versus inline-6 or 8, don't care about drive train because they're urbanites who never leave a paved road, don't care about torque or horsepower because they won't pull a single thing except another beer on the tailgate. But it's still a pickup truck by its very definition: closed cab, open bed. Any qualifiers are opinion.
  24. If owning a truck makes one an expert, I'm one five times over. I suspect this Tesla truck isn't aimed at the functional user (medium/heavy-duty) but for casual/recreational use (light-duty), things the older S-10s, Ford Rangers, Dodge Dakotas, etc. used to fill a void for (they are bringing them back with new styling but the price-point is a step up). With its current body lines, this is more like a car with truck-bed utility and a higher(?) clearance; if so, I wonder how they'll be received given the likes of El Caminos and Rancheros. With the miles I drive (and the fuel I pay for), I could buy one if it takes to deep, dark winters as well as the sedans apparently do. Addendum: I find the "faux-pickup" description belittling as it implies that those who don't buy full-size or serious-powered aren't "real, honest-to-God" pickup truck owners. Though I've never owned one, the Ridgeline had a market and you're welcome to not buy one but please don't insult those who might.
