If it looks like crap, it doesn't even get out of the VAB or SPH, let alone into space!
-
I'd prefer a greater level of complexity, and to accommodate all parties, such complexity should be optional!
-
The biggest thing you need to do, Squad, is reduce the memory footprint. How many new parts do you think you'll be able to add, before the game no longer loads up? I would humbly ask that you find and work on a way to load and unload game assets as required.

I feel so dirty... I just used alt+f12 for the first time.
Voculus replied to T.A.P.O.R.'s topic in KSP1 Discussion
Don't feel dirty. It's not as if you Hyperedited the ship into orbit, or edited your persistence file. You put in the work, learned about a small quirk of contract missions, and justifiably reaped the reward! -
My first "landing" on Tylo left the ship in pieces, and necessitated a rescue mission. Jeb planted a flag, which bore the phrase, "Shaka - When the walls fell."

Even before I was using FAR, I used nosecones on my rockets, and tried to make them sleek and streamlined. Any old Joe Blow off the streets can slap together a stack of pancakes, and strut them until the whole mess looks like a circus tent. There's nothing in KSP that requires an ugly craft to get the job done. Any mission can be accomplished with a gorgeous, and thoughtfully-designed ship.

Sci-fi and Organic based aircraft
Voculus replied to OneOfAmorphous's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Impressive! I'd give it a whirl, myself, except I lack imagination! -
Just a medium SSTO I call the Hyperdart.

Warbird Pelican Mk.1 Heavy bomber (BDArmory)

Holy Mk82, Batman! I like the WWIII loadout. -
About a week before the 0.23 update hit. I had the demo for all of ten minutes before I threw my debit card at Squad for the full version.
-
I love Porkjet's work, and I don't want to come off as an ungrateful jerk, but we really needed gear that would mount nearly flush with the ship, and not protruding like a big blister.

Kerbodyne SSTO Division: Omnibus Thread
Voculus replied to Wanderfound's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
I like this one! -
She needs eyelashes. I wouldn know it's a lady Kerbal otherwise.

Scott Manley showcases everything I find wrong with FAR
Voculus replied to foxkill2342's topic in KSP1 Discussion
This thread is in poor taste, and Ferram has worked countless hours to bring FAR to us, without asking a thing in return. If a dummy like me can build and fly planes in FAR, anyone can. I'd bet you're also mashing on a keyboard, wondering why planes don't fly right. -
KDX 1701 Enterprise replica (the Star Trek one)
Voculus replied to Scoundrel's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Be still, my heart... -
I wasn't a fan of the NX Enterprise, or that entire series, but credit where credit is due! Outstanding work!

Fresh install, 45+ mods, no conflicts, boots and runs (listed)
Voculus replied to milint33w's topic in KSP1 Mods Discussions
You're not allowed to have fun in 64-bit. You're especially not allowed to offer up any evidence of it working well. Everyone knows it's impossible. -
I'd rather have the option for both. Rolling a plane and not seeing the horizon move is going to suck. Nothing a mod won't fix the day after the 1.0 update, though, Im sure.
-
I'd say both, but I'll go with pilot. Landing an 80-ton spaceplane in IVA with all the screen elements hidden is the most satisfying thing there is.

NOPECOPTER: maple seed inspired assymetric helicopter
Voculus replied to Parallax's topic in KSP1 The Spacecraft Exchange
Holy crud! I didn't think it was possible to make a true helicopter with FAR. I made a variable pitch copter with the stock aero some time ago, but now I'm inspired! Awesome work, Parallax! -
It's as if you reached into my brain, and used an ice cream scoop to dig this thought out of my head! I'd love to be able to spawn planes on different locations on different planets, too. Just a dream...

This is going to be an update of epic proportions. Congrats to RoverDude, too!
