If we're applying based on this forum post, what would best fit in "how did you hear about this job?"
-
I'm sure Snark is working on a compatibility patch, or someone else might be! Just give it time!
-
Here's a good list of things you can do 1. Check that ReStock was installed correctly. You could have dropped it in wrong, and have GameData/GameData/ReStock. 2. Once you've confirmed that and it is indeed loading correctly... did you know that every so often, Kerbal automatically backs up your persistent.cfg file in your save? It keeps five of these. drag one of those out, one from before you installed restock, and load it using alt+f9 or the load option in the pause menu.
-
I never had that issue while I was testing! I put lights on everything, so I'd hopefully have caught it.
-
If a stock part has a drag cube of like x,y,z, the restock part is hardcoded to have the same. It's designed to be purely visual in every case given. Why not actually do the diligence and let them know your concern before assuming it's true?

[WIP] Restock: KSP Part Art Revamp (Released March 06)
Lupi replied to Nertea's topic in KSP1 Mod Development
If a part isn't to your preference, as I understand it, you can go into Patches and delete the patch that changes the terrier, and then create a restockwhitelist file as described in the readme to allow the plugin to load the original terrier's files. -
A "KSP Loading..." Preview: RV-105 RCS Thruster Block Revamp
Lupi replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
The revamps for each update seem to focus on a related group of things, with only a few outliers. 1.5 had Probe cores (and 1.25m tanks), 1.6 Adapters+nosecones (and poodle+landercan), 1.7 seems to be tiny engines/"engines"(rcs) (i forget if we've seen an outlier yet) -
KSP Loading...KSP Enhanced Edition is getting some love
Lupi replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Yeah, the only way I've personally kept the career loop alive is by adding and engineering my own limitations, and having to do missions to other planets out of pocket. On a more topical note, the ant and the spider look great! I love that "keep away from face" label, and the bare variants for both! The gimbal actuators on the spider (and lack thereof on the ant) are great! They really look up to the task of being satellite engines! -

Man i'm glad the geometry got fixed on this thing, being concave on top was always the worst when trying to use it. I mean, the shape of it is inconvenient overall, but there's only so much you can do without entirely reinventing the part. I've gotten around it by using the small intakes as "strakes" for mounting them in the past: but there's only so much you can do to a part without just completely needing to replace it, so this seems like a good way to do it! -
Solid improvement! The model looks a bit crisper and more refined, did it change any? or is that accomplished entirely with texture work? My only real complaint is that the opportunity wasn't taken to make it more friendly to surface mounting, like making the side it attaches on different. I've always had problems trying to surface mount this engine in a reasonable way without just resorting to all sorts of clipping.

Lupi replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
Decently so, yeah. Spark has thrust 20 (16.8atm), isp 320 (270 atm) Twitch has thrust 16 (13.8 atm), isp 290 (250 atm) -

Yeah, don't get me started on variant names, that's an exhausting rabbit hole of confusion at times. One i'm acutely sensitive to, for whatever reason. -

"Grey and orange" is their variant codename for the russian variant, even though it's more green than grey. It probably looks black simply because it's against such a strongly colored background. -

Actually i take it back, I've got just a few thoughts. I feel like it's missing some sort of je ne sais quoi, but of course like, that's a hard thing to pin down. A solid black variant would be nice, not just the russian olive drab. The old one's thrust transform and angle were not straight back, they were slightly angled, like 5 degrees? I'd hope that's being fixed. -

I'm not sure how i feel about it yet. It's certainly a more detailed model than the original Twitch, but it doesn't really strike me in any particular way. -
Yeah, but setting it to 3 made my vessels I landed on Eve explode and shoot into the sky, and the auto spring/damper would always set it to 3 for whatever reason. That was fun to triage.

Kerbal Space Program 1.6: “To Vee or not To Vee” Grand Discussion Thread
Lupi replied to UomoCapra's topic in KSP1 Discussion
Hey! just wanted to drop a nugget of information before anyone freaks out. If you're having weird glitches on your steam install, try doing this: Exit KSP, if it's running. Validate the game files. (Steam has been having issues pushing files correctly.) To do this, rightclick kerbal on steam, hit properties, then local files, then "verify integrity of game files". It'll probably say some files are missing, then redownload them. Go into the root folder of your KSP install, and delete PartDatabase.cfg. (It may have become corrupted, and validating doesn't fix it because this is a locally generated file.) Restart KSP. Should hopefully fix things! Like, weird nullrefs, odd behavior, et cetera. If something seems wildly wrong or just acts out fully like this: If that's not helping, try removing mods if you've added any. Could always be a compatibility issue there too!- 300 replies

Not entirely true. The 1.25m rocket tanks were upgraded in place in 1.5. Other parts have received the same treatment, though it's not clear what the criteria are for "upgrade in palce" or "deprecate the old ones but leave them in the game"
-
Ooh, this is super cool! I have a mechanics question, though: when kerbals run out of oxygen, is there/can we have some sort of early warning? Like with g-force, there's an orange warning about "x kerman is nearing g-force limits" before they pass out from the g-force and you get the red message that 'x has passed out from g-forces'

A "KSP Loading..." Preview: The Rockomax RE-L10 “Poodle” Engine Revamp
Lupi replied to SQUAD's topic in KSP1 The Daily Kerbal
If they give them artpasses, then their collider will probably have to be made faithful to their model rather than being a 2.5m cylinder or whatever it is now. I'm down if that's the case.
