  1. Im curious ... Will Kethane-density differ from planet to planet? Kethanepockets would by logic be more plentyful on rocky planets and moons than on desert- or magma-planets in example. Also - will there be a way to convert Kethane to energy, maybe?
  2. Ive been there once. Its really just like it looks from orbit: Black terrain. Just like the texture fades from grass to sandy near water it just fades to black there...
  3. I heard we could connect a maximum of two vessels together...? Was that false information?
  4. Same, I dont give much about them. I dont need buttons to show my appreciation ... Ill stick to just saying it.
  5. the sea inbetween those two continents is not too wide. He might just make it with an amphibious vehicle.
  6. It does. The fault is on your end ... and we might even be able to help you if you would be so kind to share some more informations with us about what exactly isnt doing the way it should.
  7. Looking good. You put some vents on there. I like that
  8. will do, i heard about it on some occasions. Thanks for the hints everyone!
  9. Awwww, thats a shame. Seems like I just missed the most important part of this topic. Anyways. I could always do it myself - Ive got Photoshop and know how to use it. What I dont know is how to get to the textures - do I need a special program?
  10. I tried mechjeb. It doesnt work - in two ways. If you place more than one MechJeb, one will work, the other one wont. Now, when i detached my lander, funnily the mechjeb on my lander worked - i could access the panel and do all sorts of stuff ... just that it had no hardware to work with. Upon separation all of my lander got reduced to a single strut-symbol in my stages-list, meaning its nothing but debris. When I switched back to my mothership, the mechjeb I had on there didnt work. No panel to access it.
  11. Hmm... I think this should have an entrance into KSP-vanilla. We do have ALT+WASD (German Keyboardscheme), but this would be much quicker.
  12. Hey, im looking for a way to detach a small lander from my "mothership". In this case I started the rocket with a 3-man-module and added another 1-man-module from the empty-modules-mod. My plan was to detach the small lander, land and then get back up to rondevouz with the 3-man-module again. Just like the Apollo-mission. Well, most of you guessed it already - it didnt work. After separation the craft becomes Debris and couldnt be influenced any more. I do have an old part of the Bace-pack, but even that didnt help. I do know that there is at least one mod around that adresses this, I cant remember its name, though. Could anyone help me out? Does anyone know of a mod or how I can do this?
  13. Since we can watch movies in full length on youtube now ... i just stumbled about this and had to chuckle a little: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Tpd2-b4n-wE&feature=fvwrel For those who dont understand - jump to 0:26:27 and youll see what caused my joy. Great movie. Its actually quite fun to watch that movie again, after all those experiences I had with KSP. "Watch out, or we might overshoot D:" Hehe... yeah I know that feeling.
  14. I second the Wings. Its amazing how weve got Modpacks for every thinkable case - even those which create maps or steer our rockets to the moon for us - but we still lack some plain, basic, boring wings. We do have those plank-like parts to build or own wings, but they seldom end up looking like real wings. More like rag-tag-gliders. How about three sets of wingparts - one set featuring different shapes to be attached on the body of the plane, a second set featuring different shapes which all fit to the first set, and a third set of wingtips which all fit on every second wing-part. They could vary in length (and lift-rating, of course).
  15. Hey Dani-sang ... i remember someone asking if youd add glowy parts to the Kethane pack just like with the satellites pack. I guess youve got your concepts drawn already anyways, but if not - I think Decoration like vents, girders and bolts would suit an industrial tools-pack better than high-tech looking lights. At least for the drill and all those parts that got to do the dirty work ... the glow should be mostly reserved for the satellites. Great mod, by the way. I use the satellites pack with great delight. Half of my crafts are made with parts from it. The new Fairings are god-awesome too. I think yours are the first i got that actually have a collision-model. Oh, one last thing about the satellites-pack: That slender fuselage with those black-and-yellow hazard-stripes on it. Any chance we get a clean version of it, too? I often have situations where i could use a thin fuselage like this but the hazardstripes just dont look very good if youve got nothing to put on it.
  16. Quick question. Wouldnt be some kinds of marks a help to show me where my hinge will turn to, if i press up, for example? After a first try with your mod I was quickly confused as to how id have to rotate my hinges to get them working the way i want them. This is not an issue if you just slap a couple of motors on and control every single one step after step - but it will be if you try to program them so that several motors listen to one button.
  17. look up scott manley at youtube. He has some highly enjoyable videos about ksp - its almost as good as watching TV. One of his vids is about making a spaceplane. You can see him test and try till, at the end, he gets a working space-plane that he manages to orbit around kerbin. He also explains some things so you can actually learn something.
  18. Some Nasa-scientist extracted some drips of Water from Moon-rocks. Theres even a video on Youtube. Its nice, actually, that KSP still has a community -not- flaming everybody who just discovered the Eastereggs and tells about it on the forum.
  19. I ever only used the slap-on-version with the red and green lights - I never had any problems.
  20. I love the green as well. But say, will the way the door-opening animation on that drill still change in some way? It looks a little flimsy
  21. Yeah. So. Ill just wait and sit here, staring at this screen until you upload those images. dont get me waiting!
  22. dont know ... cant access this file. Website says its not there :/ Tried tinkering with the URL (Since not all of your posted URL is included by the Forumsystem) but even that didnt work.
