  1. Hi fellow Kerbinauts, I'm looking for a career mod which changes the way we receive funding. I find the contract system a little too restrictive but I want to have to deal with a budget. Any suggestions? Thanks!

  3. Hello, I have a mission to test a rocket I think its LV-909 or something and the requirements are to test the rocket between 77,000 and 85,000 meters and on a suborbital trajectory. Well during my mission I got check marks for both of these things but then when I landed they weren't checked anymore. What did I do wrong? I just flew up and activated the engine then came down and landed. Thanks.
  4. After roughly 500 hours in the game I've somewhat lost interest. An update would probably bring me back to check it out ... but when??? It's been quite a while.

I'm not sure if my designs actually qualify as asparagus staging but I tend to make a large center rocket, usually 3.75m and then have two fuel tanks on the side with fuel lines going to the center tanks which fall off during ascent. Even for very small payloads this seems to be the only solution and this is the only way I've been able to get to the Mun, land and have enough dV to come back. Is there something flawed with this design or is this how its done?
  9. Well I have the RO pack downloaded and there are config files in there for heatshields I just don't know which ones to put where. This is getting obnoxious, I don't know why I'm the only one having an issue with this.
  10. Do I have to install the whole RO pack or can I just use the heatshields?
  11. I understand that it just doesn't make sense to me why nobody else has this problem and why the recommended settings wouldn't work for me. Sigh ... thanks anyway.
  12. So I go to the RSS thread and it says it needs the Realism Overhaul Pack ... I go to Realism Overhaul Pack and it says I need Deadly Re-Entry for the heat shields ... now I'm just getting confused. What heat shields do I need exactly... sigh...maybe its bedtime.
  13. This is leaving the shockwave exponent/multiplier thingies as they came at 1.0 see absolutely no damage. So I'm either blowing up completely with 1.12 ... or taking no damage whatsoever at 1.0 what is going on.....
  14. I don't have RSS, however when I leave the setting as normal there is zero heat damage whatsoever, even if I come in flipping.
  15. Alright guys I'm getting pretty frustrated. I've tried a periapsis of 25km, 35km, 45km and 50km. Angled my MK1 with the pod facing at retrograde and I blow up every single time. I am using DRE with realistic setting according to the first page ie: shockwave multiplier and exponent are at 1.12. What am I doing wrong guys?

  17. Hello, I am having issues with this mod. First I was re-entering Kerbin and my periapsis was about 28,000m. I angled the MK1 module so it's butt was pointing retrograde but I exploded at about 34,000m during the descent. The next thing that happened was a rocket I was ascending started exploding. First the parachute exploded ... then some wings. Luckily I was taking video so here is the screenshot. Am I doing something wrong? Thanks.
