  1. No, LC_ALL=C forces the thing you're overriding to use a certain localisation settings, in this case, C stands for ASCII standard. Here, check this out: http://unix.stackexchange.com/questions/87745/what-does-lc-all-c-do
  2. How about having different types of reputation? Green for people who help newbies get their rockets into space, blue for people who help with technical issues (windows/mac/linux/hardware stuff), red for people who post constructive criticism to the game, gold for modders, purple for folks who design cool stuff (all stock submarine? Oh my!). So when you want to add rep to someone, forum asks you what is the reputation for? Can this even be implemented, or would it just complicate things too much? Also, give semi custom titles to folks, to go with the rep. I imagine more than a few folks would warrant "The Chief designer", for instance
  3. You forgot the Flux capacitor Anyway, I'd really be a lot happier if at least some pitiful kind of "rover" wheels were available at lower tech levels. It's really killing me to have to go higher than NERVA to get wheels for my mining rig! (I'm cheap, sue me, I don't want to pay premium rates for Xenon!)
  4. Here is how it looks like for me: http://i.imgur.com/Saio2Vi.jpg It's from midnight commander. I'm very new in Linux myself, few days at best, and that's a steam install on 17.1 mint rebecca. Hope it helps
  5. Possible heads up: KAS & KIS prevent my KSP 1.0.4 to load on Linux mint 17.1. Just crashes in the middle of loading. I juggled mods while I tried to pinpoint what it was, in the end, was KAS&KIS. Don't know if it works on Windows, haven't got around to testing it yet.
  6. So there you have it. You DON'T stop playing KSP. You can pause, you can try to keep yourself off, but sooner or later, you come back. It's just THAT good
  7. Welcome, newcomer, to our glorious land of space exploration, SRB shenanigans, silly contraptions, Jeb, Bill, Bob and Valentina are awaiting for your guidance!
  8. This is an older version of my rover (It uses modded wheels: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/84102-WIP-PARTS-PLUGIN-0-23-5-Kerbal-Foundries-wheelpack-anti-grav-repulsors ) If you wish, you can try it, here is the .craft file: https://mega.co.nz/#!UxEChbLK!DnglkgcAH9RjLH_vU_sCeLm9MKImicxk3E0hnsd2xXc (this one is stock only)
  9. Well, my autonomous science rover, which is somewhat shorter than yours (~15m long), turns rather good (at lower speeds, at top speed it tumbles!) with steering enabled on forward and rear wheels. Maybe try that?
  10. You can try this: http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/104231-1-0-x-Filter-Extensions-2-2-2-%28Jun-2%29?highlight=filter+extensions
  11. Nice! ISU, the grand equalizer in World of Tanks XD! (if I get to vote at least )
  12. http://forum.kerbalspaceprogram.com/threads/55401-Community-Mods-and-Plugins-Library Check here. Hint: look for "Avionics" or "Davon", depending on your exact needs.
  13. off topic: Are you sure it's not this issue: http://bugs.kerbalspaceprogram.com/issues/5024
  14. It is usable, tho not fully it seems. There is a dev version that works with 1.0.2 up there
  15. It would triple if you were just adding only fuel (no tankage mass) to an engine with 0 mass. Fuel has mass. SRB casing has mass. It eats into your deltaV. Ninja'd! Edit2: Yes, the mass of fuel itself, forgot that part. Cheers SkyRender
  16. Maybe you might add how you fixed it, if someone has a similar problem?
  17. Actually, U5 64 should be even better. Hell, U5 x32 should be better, what with splitting physics for various craft across different cores and such...
  18. Damned thing can't get into even the Mk3 Hangar. I can only shove it into oversized ground hangar. Well, that's going to take some creative building to solve. Thanks everyone for your ideas!
  19. Aren't PD engines supposed to work on a really high frequency, to lessen the damage to the materials the craft is made of? Wouldn't it just sound like a very loud mosquito then?
  20. Off topic, but why would MK 2 parts be dedicated to atmospheric use?
  21. Actually, now I'm thinking of either making an open cargo craft (without any cargo bay... bad idea, this thing needs to land on Eve, and then get back up), or do the winch / dock senior thing (tried it, didn't work). Quantum struts, I tried, but didn't work for me for some reason. I tried also to build a cargo bay out of wing plates, but that didn't really work out in the end (too much parts, game went to a crawl. Tried welding it together, but that failed as well... *sigh*) Well, I'll try some of these ideas tomorrow again, refine them a little at least, and see how it goes. I'll post new pictures here when I get something going. Thanks all! I'll leave it unanswered tho for the time being, maybe someone else gets some other idea. PS, the rover is really big and wide :/
  22. I tried with KAS winch (one, for docking) and struts, but it still went right through the floor when I engaged docking. Struts didn't hold it. More struts?
  23. No, that's right on the spot Vagabond. I was just hoping there was a way to do it, since I'd like to be able to deliver it, then pick it up again and haul it back for recovery. Which is why I can't just attach wings on decouplers, since I'll need them again later. I guess I'll have to find a way to dock it with a ceiling port in the field.
