  2. The dV numbers are calculated using the vis-viva equation. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Vis-viva_equation You plug in the values of the equation to find the required change in velocity to alter your orbit parameters to meet the other body.

I have run into a bug where after editing the values under the specifics-2 tab on the settings (ie. time window for ignoring maneuver node alarm generation and time before node warp slow down) I entered one value, then changed it later, now these values keep switching to the values I first placed and have to readjust them every time. Also, if I do adjust them and then go to another ship and come back, they once again default to the first values I put in and don;t use my updated values. Any ideas on whats up? I can post screenshots if that would be more helpful in figuring out what it may be, just let me know.
  5. Figured out what it was... I had it installed properly but changed the "Trigger Tech" Folder to "Trigger Tech - Alarm Clock" to help me keep track of my mods, after removing the additional text it works now.... Thanks for the fast help though!
  6. After updating to the latest version the alarm clock icon is no longer appearing... I tried installing the mod several different ways and doesn't want to work at all.... any ideas?

  8. The height you set your parachute to deploy at is based on actual radar height, not sea level height like it was before. It helps a lot when trying to land on some tricky high elevation areas.
  9. I'm having an issue where the calculation of dV in the VAB either doesn't compute or freezes. I don't have fairings, I do have KW Rocketry, but even without that it freezes. I tried to delete the part or build a new ship entirely but it won't recalculate anything. Any ideas?

  15. It's 2 o'clock in the morning here (California). I'm only awake because I'm finishing a paper for finals. I have to say Squad picked the worst day to release .23! I can't concentrate on my paper and check for the update at the same time!!! I can't wait until I am done with the semester! From the second I walk out of my last final until next semester I am playing .23. Who needs family at christmas when you have kerbals? HAHA I hope everyone has time to enjoy the update!
  16. To be honest when I found out about multiplayer I was kind of bummed. I feel like it will ultimately take away from what the devs could have done with game because they now have to spend time building that whole system. Also I feel like multiplayer in this game will be like other multiplayers: trolls. People are gonna build cool things and then get them destroyed. Might not happen but when was the last time anyone played a multiplayer without getting killed at least a handful of times?? Also, this may have been answered elsewhere, but how would timewarp work on a multiplayer game anyway?? Bad idea overall squad
  17. That's the only reason I use Mech Jeb, for the fine tuning of maneuver nodes. It allows you to enter in a value and add o subtract that to whatever maneuver you may be using. It's essential for those long range planetary missions were a change in even 1.0 m/s delta v can put you out of the SOI.
  18. I know what you mean (done it for other part mods), but they aren't coming up on the science tech tree at all. I checked the cfg files, all the parts are lacking the "TechRequired=XXXX" indicator, so I have no idea how people are getting them on their tech trees?
  19. That's what I figured, however I still don't have them unlocked in career mode, they show up in sandbox just fine. Any ideas?
  20. I played around with different orbital heights today and the closer you are to the planet (lower altitude) you cover a smaller scan path than that of a higher altitude. It appears that if you set up an orbit close to the max operational altitude of the scanners yo get the widest scan area and results on the map generated.
  21. So I have composite tech unlocked in career mode and still don't see these parts available. The only thing I have not copied over to my game folder is the source, do I need to place these files into any folder or is this just source code for other moders? Thanks
  22. I was wondering what configuration is needed to start getting a hi res altimetry map produced? I have tried different orbit altitudes, different scanners. Just wondering what I may be missing to get the hi res read out. Thanks P.S. - Awesome Mod! I blame you for making me stay up super late tonight! Haha!
  23. Kerbal stupidity or courage has never seemed to matter to me in my flights. However, I have only been playing for over a month so maybe I haven't experienced enough of the game to notice or for it to matter yet. It just seems to me that if you set up your rockets and maneuvers correctly it doesn't really matter who is in the pilot seat. If you build a bad rocket, you could have the bravest Kerbal and it still wouldn't go any where. Hope this helped!
  24. Just a quick question, may have already been answered in this post (I tried searching but no luck): Are these parts compatible with career mode? I recently installed this mod and couldn't find them in career mode but only in sandbox mode. I really hope career mode is open and I'm just doing something wring with the files. Thanks!
