  1. I know it is a terrible movie but this... I do like the fact that it was done found footage style, which normally I hate those kind of movies.
  2. In some ways yes but in a lot of ways no. Need clouds for planets with atmospheres so they have some detail, with the improved smoke effects for take offs they have the tech to do them. Something like precise node would help with planning burns and fine tuning them with an easier interface. Docking alignment hud of some sort. Fix for windows 64 bit, unless this is a Unity problem then that is out of their control. MRS integration to give rockets some useful parts to make them more rocket like, especially with the atmosphere changes this will be big. Fix the navball in map mode so it comes up when you go into map mode. If possible make orbit paths less bouncy when rotating crafts. Get rid of the walls in the VAB when turning the camera to get a better look when building a craft. Make Kerbals actually hold on to the craft when they exit. Some sort of KAS system needs to be put in especially with base contracts and some form of Karbanite (sorry I forgot the spelling) this would be very welcomed. More wheel options. Just to name a few things that I would love to see in the game given what was announced for 1.0 that would be great additions IMHO.
  3. Could really use some clouds so the planets do not looks so bland, but I guess there is not enough people wanting that to be in game. Hurray for planes....though I do not make them or use them....at least they are getting more love (I guess). Though it does look like rockets get some love in the form of fairings. Also congrats to Roverdude!
  4. Ah it was updated 2 days after I first downloaded, I guess I need to pay attention more often. Going to go build a cleaner heavy lander now!
  5. I love the nosecone tanks, it gives them a purpose and look great. I am also enjoying the MRS pack especially the adapters with fuels, they need to put this in the game. Still waiting for the jumbo landing legs . (I would give rep but it says I cannot give you more, so +rep when I can )
  6. Bill has successfully redocked with the mega tug, now he just has to wait for his transfer window home. The race is on between Jeb and Bill to see who will get home first!
  7. Just goes to prove; "we didn't land on the moon, but rather the moon landed us." -Malcolm K
  8. Fun first....everything else beyond that is secondary.
  9. So after my first failed attempt at landing Moho last night left me discouraged with my design that I almost sent Bill back home, but I am stubborn and thought I would do it a different way and see if I could land. Now Bill is down on Moho safe and sound. Not only that the lander currently has 1.5 grand of dv left to leave the surface, I hope that is enough . Bill also wanted to stare at the sun for a few seconds, and now he is complaining about not being able to see....anything. I was rather please how it landed, but I am also confused as to why I couldn't do this yesterday. No matter this is ready to be put into service now! LOL
  10. SO I learned today that my Moho Lander has the dv to land, but it seems like the twr is too low to slow it down enough. Currently it has one 48-7S with four small outer tanks draining into the main tank, but I think now I may need to add engines to the outer tanks as well. Or maybe just use the LV-909 in the current configuration. Not too sure what idea would be better to use at this point though.
  11. Stock rockets for me, and even my small attempts at planes are done in stock as well.
  12. Both threads of this should be in the off topic section...
  13. Toolbar Easter egg...or so I am told.
  14. We did celebrate..... by moving on to another page
  15. Bill finally made it to Moho and got into orbit around the heavy potato! The lander is most likely overkill for doing this, but I have never been on the surface of Moho. Well...I have but not able to leave once I was down there, nearly everything survived but the engine. Hopefully this time it is better.
  16. Jeb started his long trek home from Laythe in the Smig, it is going to be a long journey home. His next burn that will get him into a 30km PE of Kerbin will take place before Bill enters Moho's SOI,All for testing purposes.
  17. I do a combination of both, but normally I build in a sandbox save and test there just to keep my craft list on my career save cleaner. I usually have two saves running at all times; one for building and one for doing. Doing it like this just makes life a touch easier, and gives me a place to do some of my more...ahem....crazier things.
  18. Take a shot every time someone complains about aerodynamic model
  19. Oh that looks like it would be an awesome beverage to have while playing....too bad it would cost a fortune to import to the states . Drink a few for me LOL.
  20. Launch a pod, eva Bill, and put bill somewhere off the launch pad. Bill now gets a front row to all the launches but is close enough if he is needed for a mission.
  21. Today I combined my mega tug and my Mono-E-Moho together, I figure go big or go home. But since I am already at home I guess I have to go big! I did leave the return tug attached to the lander for now as a backup means of getting home, but I think I may just remove it since the mega tug has 10k dv as it sits (I think anyways since that is what the unloaded version has sitting in LKO right now). With the Moho window coming up soon I may not get to test it as much as I would like to before hand, but normally I test things once, if successful, and put them into service.
  22. I may try this tomorrow for Moho, been having a heck of a time getting there for some reason. I have gotten a flyby before but never orbited or landed, usually I have burnt nearly all my fuel just to get a fly by. Getting better though....I think.
  23. That is awesome.....but it made me think of something...and well now this is stuck in my head LOL
  24. As far as not know what is happening when you lose control hitting F3 might answer that, it will show you if anything has broken or undocked. I made a similar craft with a few minor tweaks, I however did not see the post about the docking port on the bottom but that can be edited in later. One thing I did differently during launch is I did not fir the main engine until the solids had completely burned out. While it did tip a bit near the end of the solids I believe it is due to the weight transfer as they empty out, but once the main engine fired it corrected itself and all was well. FOrgive the HotRockets mod (the LFO engines might need to be changed before launch) but I just love the prelaunch smoke . I included the .craft file if you want it, also a picture from the launch pad is your best spot to see thing the VAB is hard to get a good angle.
  25. Well you could set the jet to toggle on/off if you want it to be shut off instantly, regardless of throttle setting. I learned this the hard way....and why I do not put engines on the 2 key anymore. To the OP any luck replicating this issue? I am curious if any of the suggestions did the trick.
