  1. Put my Duna lander on test. Detached the main engine and went in for the land. After some tries (AKA crashes) got it safe, put the flag, did some science and take off to meet the engine floating in LDO. After circularization burn I got 10 m/s spare, I really though Duna atmsophere was thicker. Anyway, the main engine has also a probe and RCR tanks, so I did the rendezvous and docking with that part, then got the Ike lander secured in place and prepared for the trip back home. I think I'm going to arrive Kerbin only with fumes!
  2. I've been using the fuel pipes to refuel a ship in 0-G and I noticed there can be a wobbling if the relative speed between ships before linking the line is larger than 0.1~0.2 m/s Once, one of the ships disappeared and the other got a drastic orbit change. On another situation, the whole thing started wobbling out of control until one of the ships got broken. I would suggest that the pipes could be broken if enough tension is applied.
  3. First mission to Duna (and first time to make a multipart ship assembled in LKO), by chance I got Ike to help doing a gravity-assisted brake, and got into a elliptical orbit around Duna with little dV. Also, as I had a lander for Ike, I dropped it while in Ike SOI, landed and went back to Duna, using aerobreak to get into a 200km circular orbit. Today I saved 1k dV by pure luck!!! Also, I did 3k science points and unlocked almost everything Picture of the gravity assisted brake
  4. Today I made a ship composed of three parts, assembled in LKO, to go to Duna .The ship has a command pod to land in Duna, the main engine for planet transfer, and a detachable smaller lander to go to Ike (at least that is the plan) Got some problems with the docking parts .I put some docking ports the wrong way and realized after launching two ships and trying to couple them. Then sent the ships another time, but that time I forgot to include RCS tanks XD, so I sent the small lander with an extra decoupling stage with some RCS, and then a refueling ship with some KAS struts to add support, got all the afternoon EVAing like a real spacewalk
  5. Yes, you are right, thank you I actually went to the parts .cfg files and added them to the tech tree so I can use them in career, then I saw the struts. Today I sent a "repair ship" and EVA a lot of struts, and refueling using the pipes is much better than using docking.
  6. Hi, how could I add the option to store parts of other mods, like quantum struts?
  7. Today was a long mission. Decided to get "tons" of science, I unlocked the gravioli detector and the computing noise array, made a probe with this two and packed up some batteries, a fuel tank and an atomic engine. Did some science in kerbin, mun, minmus, and then left to eve, did some science in eve and gilly. Sucked up all the science I could then crashed the probe in eve, trying to get the nose computer to get some data from eve atmosphere but I really underestimated the huge amount of data it collects, so I run out of electricity before sending anything Al least I got around 1.5k science points, my most profitable mission so far! BTW, I also put a satellite in KGO and sent a pod to resupply RCS (so I learnt how to put something in kerbin GSO, how to rendezvous, and how to dock. Productive day in KSP today
  8. Tried to aim for Moho, did not take into consideration that I needed around 5km/s dV to get orbit, so it was just a fly by (at least I got tons of science). I should aim for an easier target next time ^^
  9. Jeb, Bill, and Bob were quite bored in the space center so they decided to practice extreme EVA. They chose Minmus due to its low gravity, and of course chose another crew member for the first try. Enble Kerman volunteered for the jump (he saw this opportunity as a chance on career advance). Jeb immediately put hands to work in a rocket to bring the 4 guys to Minmus (Bill and Bob also wanted to see the jump). Jeb also decided to try an RCS based munar lander, which was attached to the rocket. After a quietly trip, the crew arrived to Minmus and stayed in a circular orbit around 50km. Enble launched himself into the untested lander, lucky for his he could land safe and sound, EVA and off to orbit! Enble put his RCS pack to maximum thrust and got off the ground. He managed to get into a good orbit, and attempted a landing. He aimed for the lander and killed horizontal speed, and with an almost depleted tank, he could barely slow him down. Enble hit ground at 120 m/s and disappeared in a puff of dust. An E-EVA medal was given post-mortum to Enble. Jeb was looking for new recruits during the funeral. Hi guys, this is my first mission report. I was trying to get the EEVA medal, which requires orbiting and landing. I found out I couldn't get more than one kerball on EVA at the time, don't know why, so I could not put Enble inside the orbiter to recharge the RCS pack. It was also my first mission with more than one kerbonaut. The rocket I made returned to kerbal with practically no fuel left. Another time I'll try again to get a safe landing.
  10. Thanks for the answer and for the links! The procedural fairings is what I was looking for, thanks again
  11. False if you refer to United States of America citizen, true if you want to start a flame war XD The user below me has killed Jeb
  12. Hola, una pregunta, como se hace la parte de arriba del coete ese? No he visto en las partes de stock la cubierta para partes, es de algun mod? Gracias
  13. Hi, I bought last week the game, after trying the demo for a couple of days. This game has really got me. I've spent many days watching videos and reading this forum to have an idea how to make things. So far, I started a career mode (I think this mode will let me get better used to different parts) and so far I got landings on both kerbin moons, no interplanetary flights yet. See you!
  14. Hi, could you tell me what mods you used for this rocket? Ntw, nice design
