  1. For anyone, wondering we solved this issue and @hemeac has put the patch in his wonderful tech tree mod.
  2. Will do as far as the ingame settings are concerned they are. Just a Strang bug I guess but a livable one. I'll post back here if I ever figure it out.
  3. Possible Bug/exploit found: When using along side the K.R.A.S.H. mod it can potentially turn a simulation launch into a real launch so you can refund it and get extra money. This has only happened to me once and to be fair it could be related to other mods I have but I thought I should say something. For now I guess I will turn off the "at launch" feature to avoid this.
  4. As the title suggests I am having trouble changing to Iva or camera modes. So I thought the culprit might be quick Iva or thought the eyes of kerbal. I have had both of those mods installed at one time or another but even with them out it still won’t responds to c or v keys for there expected function. Elsewhere they work as would expected and I was able to get a work-around with fly by wire. But I would like to know what’s going on. Are there any mods or mod settings that have been know to cause this? I am running a 1.11 version. I am not sure if logs would be helpful in this case or not since nothing seems “broken”.   5. That makes sense I didn’t install the airship mod, because it’s listed as incompatible. The Kerblisum wiki mentioned it was due to Atmo. Once it’s balanced out I might add it in. I have the Buffalo and a bunch of other wild blue mods so it would be nice to have the full set :p

Link to logs: https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1DcPnmDxYbb9xG9BTki_IiXL6GfNCsuQ1?usp=sharing (You will want to go to the 01/17 - 17/01 for you non Americans - folder) When I try to EVA my crew I get a B9 part switcher warning immediately and my poor kerbal is destroyed along with my aircraft. I also dont switch perspectives and I am still controlling what's left of the craft. I am not even sure if my kerbals are truly "dead" as their portrait is still there but staticy like they had just come back. I did have a successful EVA earlier in my play through so I will roll back my mods to see if I can tease out what the issue is but I am still new at kerbal crash logs so if one of you gents/gals/persons is free and willing to give it a glace for me I would apricate it. I tried to make the log playthrough as straightforward as possible and get right to the bug and alt-f4 out when it did its damage. The only other things might be me before hand is recovering my vessel and trying a different one to see if that helped. But that might have been the the previous play through. I will post back here if anything develops. Please let me know if you have any thoughts or suggestions.
  7. I have a strange problem that I can't figure out what is causing it. I have added the extra ground station setting in the advance options. However, when looking for them in the tracking station I just see a little red x that tells me I need to build a ground station there. That's all well in good but I am not sure how to do that! clicking on it doesn't do anything. I am not even sure if this is default how its supposed to work. Since I have been out of the Commnet loop for a bit playing with RT. I think the mod that is causing this is either Kerbalism, or Kerbal Konstructs/ Kerbinside Re. If its not then I can upload a list of all my mods here if that would help.

  9. So do I need to do anything special to settings if I am using this along with Kerbalism? I already figured out how to set the KCT settings just was wondering if there was something similar I need to do. Looks like a well built mod I can't wait to get going with it.

  11. I’ve been getting warning about Xeon gas not being found or something. Anyone know what this is about? Also I know this probably isn’t related to this mod particularly but I am also having some trouble with the Rational Resorce Parts throwing B9 duplicate modules errors for nuclear engines. If anyone has any idea how that might be happening and how to fix it please let me know. It’s possibly the last big I need to sort out before I play.
  12. I am having some trouble with b9 part switcher. There seems to be something about duplicate nuclear engines. I took a photo of error message if that helps. And I will try to track down the log. I am fairly certain it’s something with the RR parts mod as removing it seems to fix it.
  13. Yeah I feel that. It’s a hard balance to find. If you find it let me know! I think I might do 50% for this play through I’ve been setting up. But then I’m not quite as ocd about getting all of the science. We’ll see I guess.

  15. This is quite neat, would love to see USI LS version mentioned. Also I assume that any mod not listed will at worse show up in it's "default" node? Lastly, there was mention that certain near future optional patchs might not work dose that include the Decay RTG and/or the cryo- Near Future Aero? Or do I just need to watch out for the ones listed as incompatible via CKAN. Again Truly a masterpiece of a mod. This is almost as important to my mod building "foundation" as picking the life support. To the point where I seriously considered starting all over and using Kerbalisum once I figured out that this was built off of that... still might

Ok, well it took me all week to iron it out but I think I’ve made my own take of a Unkerballedstart mod pack, in the flavor of the classic SETI that I got a lot of good use out of in its hay day. The configs still need some tweaking and I might add/remove a few part mods but I think as far as core mechanics go I’m set. I’ll post a list of the mods I chose later but the short list is USI LS combined with Kerbal Health. From what I could tell Kerbalism could replace both soon. But there’s a conflict with remote tech, plus I really want to try out USI Kolonization properly. Thank you guys for the tips and pointers I’ll try to get the full list on here so others can use this to help them get and idea for pack, plus if you guys see something that redundant (I had two types of Gemini style cmd pods at one point!).
  17. Sweet guys thanks so much for the recommendation! I think I'll have to make 2 packs with either LS and play a bit to find the one I like the most. My next question is about Remote Tech. How dose it compare with the Commnet? I think the time dealy would be a neat mechanic to play around with.
  18. Oh I should also mention I would like to have some sort of background processing. It looks like Kerbalism dose that natively. So that would be another pro, as for the USI all I could find was installing the mod background processing would have "unexpected results" I know that there is a stock way to do all this, it calculates how much resources your vessel has used and applies it all at the loaded state. So if you fine folks would have a suggestion as to witch is preferable? I guess I would worry that maybe there's a reason SQUAD has the background process the way it dose. Will Kerblisum lag with too many ships?
  19. Hello Fellow Exploers, I am returning after a few years and could use some advise on how compile an up-to-date mod pack. I have lots of questions first off, is Ckan still somewhat unsupported? I've been doing a little testing and some mods seem either missing or out of date. Is manual install still your go to method or not? Next my first real big mod choice seems to be life support. Back when I started playing TAC was THE life support and that was it now it looks like two others have grown up the USI LS and Kerblism. I have to admit that less resources put me off somewhat of USI but after some more reading it seems like its not less per say just its all grouped together under supplies. It also seems to work really well with Roverdudes other mods witch are always a treat so it is very tempting. So on the other hand we have Kerblism witch seems to be TAC plus other good stuff. I really like that there seems to be a robust wiki for it and a compatibility list is quite helpful, but if I want to use it I would need some other base/station builder as USI's seems to not be compatible. So if you have anything thoughts on witch life support mod you preffer let me know, or if you would strongly recommend hand making the pack over ckan. I'll probably have more questions base off witch life support pack I want to go with, so stay tuned. Edit: I also am going to make it based around Unkerballed start mod.
  20. Hey any updates on the other 2 modpacks/ Balancing 1.0.4? I know KSP modder comunity isnt really keen on Mod packs in general but this one is awsome! I just would like some more content. In the past I have added the mods in myself using CKAN and what not. But now it seems like I am spending more time tring to get my game to work and less time actually playing it so a prepacked (or mostly prepackaged) solution is very appealing to me. Am I right in thinking you are going to use the mods suggesting and bundled them up with a CKAN file?

    Hi fellow space travelers I hope I am doing this right Been a long time space nerd, played around with Orbiter for a while then found this game! Only have been messing with the demo, but I plan to pick it up soon, let's just say space budget is tight. But part of my reckoning weather or not to buy will be to see how active a community this is! After all no point in buying a game no one eles is modding for . Also the sandbox seems fun but how are the mission and carrier mode too?
