  1. New version fixes input lock bug. Download If you have an old version that created a NodeHelper folder, delete it. The plugin now lives in my Felbourn folder.
  2. This series is following some of the early ideas humans had, before thought and reason and competition got in the way. For example, did you know the original moon mission ideas were far more grandiose? They were going to create LEO way stations and much larger transit crafts. Landers would have been huge, and ground bases were being planned. It was the competition between nations (i.e. Space Race) that caused both sides to cut back and go for "flags and footprints" instead, just to be the first. After someone "won" the race, the interest and novelty waned. If they had all teamed up and take their time, I think things would have been totally different. That's what you'll see in Ares... a totally different reality than the one you know.
  3. I have a new heavy lifter called the Cerberus. It's time for a geosynchronous communications satellite! I totally redid my remote tech ground stations as well. I answered a few fan questions. The kerbals are making plans for manned missions (kerbal and human). Next week, we use the Cerberus to launch a space station core module. A new crew launcher will get tested. We might have some news about the communications loss with Kerbin.
  4. The series on my end is way past early rockets. I'm into heavy lifters now and getting ready for advanced tech and extraplanetary missions, stations, and bases.

  6. Oh well. The link was technically for adding color options. I'll have to look closely to see what is up with career. Anything that says it was "removed " should not be showing up at all. I 'delete' two of the fairing types when TS is installed because they are carbon copies of the one I leave behind. We only need one copy with TS installed. THAT copy should not say removed.

  8. I made a change for TS and career that I guess did not work then. When TS is involved, all pieces are supposed to be under 'advConstruction' now. I never tried it with just TS, OSF, and stock career. There are a lot of combos to try if I wanted to test every method the mod can be installed.
  9. I have a pre-release available if you want to test the Firespitter texture switching of colors on the 5m expanded fairings. I am NOT an artist!   10. Yes, my quote is about making games (since that's my real job) and people often ask me "what is the Blizzard secret why the games are always so good?" My answer is to make games you want to play yourself, the way you want to play them, and hope other people are like you and therefore like the same games you like. Never make something the way someone else is saying it should be. You'll be less passionate about it and your quality will suffer. In modding, make mods the way you'd want to use them. Make them as enjoyable and perfect in your OWN eyes as you can get them, and then hope other people like the same things you like. My videos are another example. Some people tell me to stop putting my cartoony interludes in them. Other people tell me they hate the VAB breakdown segments. Other people say I need to make longer Ares episodes. Other people tell me to make my next Alexandria and stop making Ares. Ultimately I will continue to make a show that I'd want to watch if I was not making it, and continue to hope there are other people who are just like me and therefore will enjoy my show, whether that's 13 fans or 13,000 fans.

  13. Yep, still doing Project Ares. No progress can be made until I choose to switch projects for a while, and right now Ares is lots of fun for me. TV shows give a few episodes and then make you wait 10 months before you get more. Think of it like being between seasons.

  19. Hmm. I would not know about how Real Scale Launchers affects RSS since I only use the models, not the parts. As for those parts -- my parts -- I have them in git. I just need to eventually around to pushing them up to the hub. Yea, I will one day.

  21. I have used a few mods for skirts. Maybe it was Real Scale Boosters you were seeing? Sometimes I change the textures of mods too. I may have done that to whatever you saw.
