  1. "sea level altitude" means nothing except during VAB construction. During a mission, ACTUAL data is relevant. Whoa wait... you could actually show both bits of data at the sane time you know... Come on @SQUAD think this through. Game-ify those aspects of this product that can be gamed. But for everything else just provide clear, factual data to support player enjoyment. Attenuating your corporate attitude to real customers is the single most important aspect of assuring KSP's sustainability.
  2. If you want players to have off-world launch sites, then give them tools and parts to build them.
  3. I predict 52 more weeks of similar posts about a similar small part "art replacement", but no new game content - just my opinion.
  4. OK, so I'm slightly confused... Considering RO is now ported to 1.4.5, is there a link for RF that is also 1.4.5? There are so many various threads against a number of KSP versions, that frankly confuses me. Does anyone have a link to a (KSP 1.4.5) version of RF? Apologies for not reading through 160 pages of posts.
  5. I have no idea, as I do not use Principia at the moment. But there is a cfg file (EDIT: in the RSSex mod) which called it out. So there was/is the intention I suppose.
  6. well... it is the answer to everything... Congratulations and well done to you and all the modders who continue to contribute to this. Excellent!
  7. Thanks @Phineas Freak. I'm still poking around. Might delete RO on my current instance due to not having Real Fuels available. As to to RSSex principia config error, I'll see if I can figure out how to post on Github. worst case I'll PM you any info I have. However, as it stands now, this mod works brilliantly with 1.6.0 and the current version of Kopernicus from my perspective - the minor issues are really minor. It's nice to see Sedna again - and to scratch my head as to how to get there...
  8. OK so... providing a bit of a status report: I was able to get both RSS and RSS Extended to run well (so far) on 1.6.0. Haven't launched anything yet. Plugged in RO as well, which seems to run fine. Some flashing orbit lines at times - but nothing obtrusive. Had to delete the principia cfg file in RSS Extended - to avoid a couple of loading errors, that's all.
  9. Definitely a launch delay. Definitely. Definitely...
  10. Thanks for that. I’ll give it a try and report back in a few days.
  11. I am very curious if this mod is now dead or has someone agreed to have taken it over. Just a little info would be appreciated.
  12. I am sincerely looking forward to the next RO/RSS update. Take your time and do it at your own collective pace. Does anyone remember the RSS extended mod? which added a plethora of additional solar bodies? Is anyone owning that these days? I've searched but found nothing - which could surely be due to my waining technological skills. Just curious.
  13. Congratulations! what would make this report even better is a few screenshots of the intercepts and orbital paths. Just sayin...
  14. yep. I was just about to get the paddles out.
  15. I think the logic reregarding a release now and a focus on 1.6 is very sound. I look forward to seeing the results of this uocoming RO release. Every mod developer involved here has the weight of the world on their shoulders regarding this addon. And I’m not speaking of the kerbal one. i for one quietly appreciate it. I’ve donated funds where I could to show support. And I’ll do it again.
  16. This is lovely OP. Only If KSP can continue to reinvent itself from a content and mechanics perspective (for example: more in-game stuff/actions please) then all players (regardless of experience) can continue to re-live and re-experience this common joy. Well done @cratercracker
  17. We’re all novices here - In one way or another - there’s always something we’ve never tried. Just try and remember the thrill and the fear and the frustration you experienced in these first steps. That’s what make it all so engaging. Welcome!
  18. I’ve played ksp more than any game I can think of in the last 50 years. However, just because I’ve done that, doesn’t make it automatically my number one. I’ve not played every game. Also the OP asks “how good” not “what rank” and then based on what? Number of bugs? Hours played? Etc. Its a fun thought experiment, so I put it in my top 50. Many of which I probably have long forgot about. how good? it’s pretty good. Could get better. Not close to perfect. Oh wait, so if it’s not perfect then it must be terrible!
  19. Signing... yea that’s it. Thank YOU! Don't think it matters for the modding community since there are no .app files modified just dlls. I say this and I am not a modder so there is that.
  20. That last I heard was that the ksp.app was not properly registered with apple. But that was nearly a year ago - so I'm sure they must have done something about that? Shirley Surely T2 can afford that. Or, perhaps it remains as "Mystery Error #42".
  21. This is the story of my macOS/KSP life for awhile now...
  22. I remember seeing a blurb about the game on boing boing way back. So I bought 1.21. Was stuck on conference calls while running a project from home. So had way too much screen time while my microphone was muted (Shhhh...) after the thrill of my first orbit I kept building and flying. Ended up with about 35 kerbals spewn across the system in various states of abandonment. Tried to rescue them but, well, ok that’s my confession. I still have that save but it won’t load. Never combine KSP with working from home. Never.
  23. If perhaps the default view (once the vehicle is on the pad) actually looked east it would be an easier adjustment to the players perception. As it stands, you can rotate all you want in the VAB, but once you are on the pad you are always initially looking north - and you have to rotate your camera (if you want). So either way, a bit of consistency would go a long way - configurable would be lovely.
