  1. Having a few issues getting the engines to work, keep saying they're out of electricity but the ship has over 34,000 units of electricity in the batteries plus several generators. Tried three different ways to attach them trying to figure out why but they just will not work on this thing. The balast system worked fine though, right up to the point where my bow snapped off... lol.
  2. Thanks for the quick reply, I'll let you know how I get on. Currently working on a Guided Missile Cruiser using stock parts but it's getting rather heavy (almost 400 tons), hopefully some bits from MOIST mod will help me get it moving in the right direction and prevent this monster from capsizing.
  3. Does this work on 1.7 versions? Looks like alot of fun and might be useful for my ships which I build using stock parts with BDa "equipment" added.
  4. Oscar-B is 0.025t when empty, full cap is 18 LF and 22 O R-11 is 0.034t when empty, full cap is 24.3 LF and 29.7 O (looks about three times the size of the Oscar-B and R-4) R-4 is also 0.014t empty, full cap is 9.9 LF and 12.1 O (looks about the same size as Oscar-B tank)
  5. Interesting, though what use a tank with that little fuel would be I don't know. Maybe that's why the original devs gave it so much capacity? Either way some slim line tanks of a similar size and capacity to the Mk0 LF tanks would be nice anyway, end attach nodes mean we can create longer thin tanks that way for a specific appearance. I've used the Oscar-b's hooked together to make fuel tanks for trucks, getting the electric power for the wheels drive from fuel cells mounted along the chassis as well those parts providing plenty of power storage. Makes a nice appearance and functionally give great range even on the 10-wheelers I've made so far for heavy equipment and refuelling trucks. I have only installed the BDa set of mods and pre-requesits (just 3 mods in total) to keep loading times etc down. Here's another thought, does anyone use the tiny LF+O engines? The low thrust makes them hard to find a use for other than very small probes perhaps?
  6. I've been Kerballing for a while now but I never really noticed until recently that some tanks are bigger than others yet have effectively less capacity... for example:- Oscar-b Tank 18 LF 22 O R-11 'Baguette' external tank 24.3 LF 29.7 O Now as it looks from raw numbers I'm very wrong... but if you look at the physical SIZE of the tanks... you can get THREE Oscar-b's in the same space as ONE R-11... but the R-11 doesn't have three times the fuel capacity! I'm not good at mathematics but I'd be expecting at least double the capacity for the R-11 over the Oscar-b yet it's not! Anyone else thinking we need a balance pass on ALL fuel tanks in the game as well as adding a few new ones? Sometimes you need smaller tanks for small rockets, not everyone makes huge things.
  7. Yep... laptop got screwed up by a microfail update which caused several games to have the same issue. got win 8 installed by experts and no issues since.
  8. Ahh that explains why I can do it then... I'm running 1.2.1.05... getting the new version asap. Lets see how it works then Cheers for that! Mostly it CoM/CoL balancing, we try and get them pretty close together but not too close as to make it impossible to control. Generally I set my CoL half into the rear of the CoM marker for most planes. Give me a nice natural instability.
  9. Several people who compete in fighterjet showdown have already done this... it's part of the testing for some of us... dodge missiles with no countermeasures on the plane, if you can do that you're probably going to have an interesting plane that might be competitive.
  10. Question... does anyone know of a way to get tracer fire from the guns to show? which setting do i need to change?
  11. Similar issue here, since Windows 10 installed creation kit and GeForce drivers updated I've had KSP and several other games experiencing issues. KSP starts normally but when you reach the main menu you can't see anything (Black screen) but can hear the music playing. Tried mutliple things to sort it even driver roll back didn't work... time for a techie to take a look me thinks.
  12. Quick question, is there a cockpit for the H fuselage? I can only find a drone core in that particular size on the CKan pack version.
  13. Current update through CKAN seems to have an issue, won't install. It throws an unhandled exception error. 14. The descriptions of BOTH Cruise missiles in your pack say they're radar guided... no wonder they crashed into the ground when I fired them...
  15. As the title says.. "Ant" liquid fuel engine... has anyone ever used it and if so what for? I tried to build a super light probe core rocket but the ant is so weak it cannot lift it in atmo... even if I were to add more fuel tanks to fit more ant's on it'd just increase the mass... which defeats the object...
